Adampak delivers 15.5% rise in 3Q net profit growing $2.9m

Adampak, the manufacturer of high-performance labels, seals and other precision die-cut components, says net profit increased 15.5% y-o-y to US$2.3 million ($2.9 million) for the three months ended 30 September 2010 (3Q2010) with a better product mix and economies of scale.

Revenue increased 9.1% y-o-y to US$16.2 million driven by growth across all sectors. The group’s telecommunication sector was amongst the best performers, growing 46% to US$1.6 million. This was followed by a 20.5% growth in the non-electronics sector to US$1.7 million. Adampak’s Hard Disk Drive (HDD) sector, the largest revenue contributor, performed in line with the HDD industry and maintained its sales of US$8.4 million for 3Q2010.

DBS Group 3Q net profit likely +15.5% on-year-poll

DBS Group (D05.SG), southeast Asia’s largest bank by assets, expected to report 3Q net profit +15.5% on-year to $650.2 million, according to Dow Jones poll of 5 analysts. 

Focus will be on mortgage growth in tough margin environment, how bank is faring in competitive SME loan sector.

DMG ups CapitaCommercial Trust target to $1.55

DMG raises CapitaCommercial Trust (C61U.SG) target to $1.55 vs $1.24. Says 3Q results above expectations, with DPU of 1.99 cents, +7.6% on-year, +1.0% on-quarter; representing 27% of FY10 forecast of 7.2 cents; raises FY10-FY13 DPU forecast by 6.0%-8.0% to account for higher rental assumptions.

Notes, 1.0% on-year fall in net property income due to loss in rental income resulting from sale of Robinson Point, Starhub Centre.

Genting Singapore raised to Buy by Citi with $1.55 target

Citigroup upgrades Genting Singapore (G13.SG) to Buy from Sell, lifts target price to $1.55 from $0.99 after increasing FY10-FY12 earnings estimates by 20%-80% to factor in robust 2Q10 results, according to Dow Jones.

Citigroup notes performance confirms Genting as preeminent casino-resort operator in Singapore vs rival Las Vegas Sands.

Research house says Resorts World Sentosa commands 67% of Singapore gaming revenue, based on average 2Q10 daily revenue: “The first-mover advantage of RWS and well-targeted product offering has achieved better loyalty with its customer base, of which two-thirds are non-Singaporeans.”

Shares +12.5% at $1.44.

Yangzijiang target raised to $1.55, outperform by CLSA

CLSA has raised Yangzijiang’s (BS6.SG) target price to $1.55 from $1.44, based on 11.5x P/E, after increasing FY10–12 earnings forecasts by 9–17% to assume increased orders, according to Dow Jones.

Boustead posts 15.5% drop in 3Q net profit to $8.7m

Boustead Singapore, the global infrastructure-related engineering services and geo-spatial technology group, announced its financial results for the third quarter ended 31 December 2009.

For 3Q FY2010 and 9M FY2010, the group said it achieved revenue of $103.6 million (-9.6%  y-o-y) and $336.8 million (+3.6% y-o-y) respectively. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent were $8.7 million (-15.5% y-o-y) and $28.9 million (+13.7% y-o-y) for the respective periods.
