A roadside bomb killed 30 civilians in southern Afghanistan, including 10 children and seven women, the Interior Ministry said. At least 39 others were wounded when the bomb hit a bus in Maiwand district outside the southern city of Kandahar, it said in a statement.

EULEX has remanded three of the arrested Serbs from Novo Brdo in custody for one month. According to Vladimir Martinović, the son of one of the suspects, Slobodan Martinović, the District Court in Priština decided to remand him, Srećko Martinović and Svetlana Stojanović in custody for one month. An Afghan government-appointed commission says 30 Afghan civilians were killed and nine wounded in a NATO air strike earlier this month. One investigator in the commission, Mohammadullah Baktash, says 69 Taliban also were killed when a German commander ordered the strike on Taliban militants who had seized two fuel trucks in the northern province of Kunduz.
