Yamada Green up 3.6%; Prospects not priced in: Kim Eng

Yamada Green Resources (MC7.SG) up 3.6% at $0.285, extending 25.7% loss since start of this week, as players continue to sell on strength after robust 68.2% gain on debut last Friday, according to Dow Jones.

Kim Eng Securities, which has no rating, says stock now trading below sector’s average 9x-10x P/E; “with its 1Q10 net profit already accounting for 66% of its FY09 full-year net profit, the current stock price might not have priced in a record year in the making.”

Genting Hong Kong +3.6%; Earnings growth priced in: UOB

Interest in Genting Hong Kong (S21.SG) not letting up even after Friday’s 40.0% rally. Shares +3.6% at US$0.435 ($0.585) in active trade, accounting for about 36% of Singapore market’s total volume, says Dow Jones.

Cruise operator has already disclosed it’s not in any talks for acquisitions, seeking to downplay investor expectations which sent share price soaring to almost three-year high on Friday.

CWT +3.6% on $0.06/share special dividend

CWT (C14.SG) +3.6% at $1.01 in active trade, above $1.00 for first time since April, as logistics group offers special interim dividend of $0.06/share following sale of 2 industrial properties earlier this year to Cache Logistics Trust (K2LU.SG), which listed in April, according to Dow Jones.

One-time gain of $147.6 million from divestment boosted CWT’s 2Q10 earnings to record $154.4 million vs $8.7 million year earlier. Excluding gain, operating profit down 16.5% at $8.8 million on lower margins due to higher start-up costs for new projects.

Hyflux Water Trust posts 36% rise in distributable cash to $7.8m for 2H

Hyflux Water Trust has announced a 36% year-on-year increase in distributable cash to $7.8 million for 2H09.

DPU for 2H09 is 2.86 cents for all units except for those held by Hyflux and the manager.

Total DPU for 2009, including 1H09 DPU of 2.56 cents, is 5.42 cents and is 9.3% higher than the DPU of 4.96 cents for 2008.

Eu Yan Sang’s 2QFY2010 net profit rises 36% to $4.8 million

Eu Yan Sang International, the progressive healthcare company with a strong foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), has posted a net profit of $4.8 million for 2QFY2010 ended 31 December 2009, an increase of 36% y-o-y.

The higher net profit was buoyed by a 10% increase in revenue to $58.5 million for 2QFY2010. Gross profit margin maintained at 52%. Without any impairment expenses in 2QFY2010 compared to 2QFY2009, operating profit soared 41% to $5.6 million.

Qian Hu posts 3.6% in 4Q net to $1.8m, bringing full-year FY09 net to $6.5m

Qian Hu Corporation, the ornamental fish breeder and service provider, says net profit attributable to shareholders for 4Q09 ending Dec 31, 2009, rose 3.6% y-o-y to $1.8 million, bringing net profit for the full-year ending Dec 31, 2009 to $6.5 million.

Group revenue increased 4.4% to $23.9 million for the quarter and 1.7% to $94.6 million for the year, contributed by overall improvement in sales of its core ornamental fish, which grew by 2.8% to $47 million, and accessories which increased by 3.9% to $37 million. Sales from its plastics businesses declined 9.7% to $10.6 million due to lower selling prices as a result of lower raw material prices.

The release candidate for Firefox 3.6, the latest version of Mozilla’s Web browser, contains a variety of new features, including user alerts about out-of-date plug-ins, improved JavaScript performance and browser speed, and the ability to display native video in full-screen mode.
