OKP Holdings posts 13% rise in 3Q net profit to $4.5m

Mainboard-listed infrastructure and civil engineering company OKP Holdings says net profit for the third quarter ended 30 September 2010 increased to $4.5 million, up $0.5 million or 13% from the previous corresponding period.

Group revenue strengthened 4% or $1.5 million to $36.6 million compared to $35.1 million generated in the third quarter of the year before.

Higher revenue was largely a result of a 8% increase in the construction segment but lower contributions from the maintenance segment.

Time Watch posts 50% rise in net profit to $4.5m for 3Q

Time Watch Investments, the retailer of watches in China and Hong Kong, says profit attributable to equity holders of the group rose by 50% y-o-y to HK$25.1 million ($4.5 million) for the 3 months ended 31 March 2010 (3QFY2010).

Revenue rose by 51% or HK$139.3 million to HK$414.3 million on increased contributions from the group’s higher margin retail segment.

Riverstone’s 1Q net profit surges almost six-fold to $4.5m

Riverstone Holdings, the manufacturer of nitrile and natural rubber gloves used in the high-tech and healthcare industries, reported a doubling in revenue to a record of RM 52.8 million ($22.7 million) for the quarter ended 31 March 2010 (1Q 2010) due to strong demand from semiconductor and healthcare customers. Net profit surged almost six times to RM10.5 million from RM 1.8 million achieved a year ago.

Food Empire Holdings posts 86% fall in FY09 profit before tax to $4.5m

Food Empire Holdings, the manufacturer of instant beverage products, frozen convenience food, confectionery and snack food, says profit before tax fell 86.2% to US$3.2 million ($4.5 million) while revenue fell 39.3% to US$134 million and for the year ended 31 December 2009.

But the group says it finished the year with a strong rebound in demand for its products resulting in a 58.2% increase in revenue to $48.5m in Q4 2009 compared to the Q3 2009. Compared to Q3 2009, revenue from Russia rose by 63.8% to $25.9 million, in Eastern Europe and Central Asia by 68.4% to $17.1 million and in other markets by 17.4% to $5.5 million.

Hoe Leong Corporation posts full-year net profit of $4.5m

Hoe Leong Corporation, the supplier of heavy equipment parts and barge charterer, says net profit attributable to equity holders increased significantly to $4.5 million in FY09 ended 31 December 2009 from $0.2 million in FY08.

Revenue for FY2009 decreased by 5.4% to $61.2 million from $64.7 million mainly due to the decrease in revenue derived from the Trading and Distribution business segment.

Olam to invest $45m in setting up Ghana wheat mill

Olam International, the global, integrated supply chain manager of agricultural products and food ingredients, say it will invest US$31.5 million ($44.7 million) to set up a greenfield 500 tonne wheat mill near Port Tema, close to the largest flour market in Ghana.

Tee International posts 129% rise in HY net profit to $4.5m

Tee International, the engineering and integrated real-estate management group, says net profit attributable for the six months ended Nov 30, 2009 (HY2010), with rose 129.2% to $4.5 million compared to the previous corresponding period (HY2009).

Revenue declined 22.4% to $35.4 million from $45.6 million in HY09 mainly due to the delay of certain projects being awarded to the group which resulted in the late commencement and recognition of the revenue from these projects in HY10. The revenue contribution in HY10 is mainly derived from the engineering segment.
