Longcheer +4.8%; Undervalued, due to re-rate: DBS
Longcheer Holdings (L28.SG) +4.8% at $0.77 on above-average volume, says Dow Jones.
DBS Vickers, which has Buy call with $1.10 target, notes China-based handset designer trades at only 6.7X FY11 P/E, 45% cheaper than sector average:“The re-rating catalyst is the ramp-up of 3G PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) for China Telecom and contributions from the highly-profitable mobile lottery (business) to start from 4Q this year.”
Longcheer won China Telecom’s PCBA tender in June quarter, formed partnership with Vodone (0082.HK), C-Media Electronics (6237.OT) in March to develop mobile lottery business in China. Immediate resistance at S$0.80, last tested in July 2007.

Ping Users Top One Million in First 48 Hours
Apple today announced that in less than 48 hours since its launch on Wednesday, more than one million users have joined Ping, its new social network for music. Ping lets users follow their favorite artists and friends to discover what music they’re talking about, listening to, and downloading. “One-third of the people who have downloaded iTunes 10 have joined Ping,“ said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of Internet Services. “As many more people download iTunes 10 in the coming weeks, we expect the Ping community to continue growing.“
Eu Yan Sang posts 48% rise in full-year net profit to $19.3m
Mainboard-listed Eu Yan Sang International, the healthcare company with a strong foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and integrative healthcare, posted an increase of 48% in net profit to $19.3 million for its financial year ended 30 June 2010 (FY2010) on the back of record revenue of $244.7 million.
The group’s higher revenue in FY2010 was mainly attributed to the increase in retail sales in all its three core markets, namely Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Lower operating costs and better same store sales contributed to a better operating profit before tax. The higher net profit was also further boosted by $1.5 million from a fair value gain on property, plant and equipment and a fair value gain on investment properties.
Russian wildfires death toll at 48
Russian officials say the death toll from weeks of wildfires that have wiped out forests and villages in western Russia has risen to 48. The Emergency Ministry, which insisted for weeks that the fires were being contained, has now admitted that some fires are out of control.

Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) says it posted a 48% gain in attributable net profit before exceptional items (APBE) to $134.7 million for the six months ended 31 March 2010 (H1FY2010) from $91 million in H1FY2009.
Group revenue grew to $1.25 billion, which is 17% higher than the same period last year, mainly due to higher volumes.

Yahoo Says 48% of iPad Users Own an iPhone
Yahoo researchers, who have been analyzing the use of the iPad on the company’s network since a week after its launch, said males in the 35-44 age group were among these early users.
