Singaore’s Swiss-Asia plans 500m euro China power plant fund

Singapore’s Swiss-Asia Financial Services plans to raise 500 million euros ($861.6 million) for a private equity fund that will invest in combined heat and power plants in China, riding on the country’s efforts to promote clean energy.

The China District Energy Fund, which has gathered US$115 million ($147.3 million) in commitments, will invest in electricity plants that also generate and sell heat to end-users, providing a second source of revenue.

City Developments, Singapore’s second-largest property company, sold $500 million of 2.48% notes due 2015, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

Khazanah said to plan $500m sukuk sale to fund Parkway

Khazanah Nasional Bhd., Malaysia’s state investment company, may sell as much as $500 million of Islamic bonds, or sukuk, to take over Parkway Holdings, according to two people familiar with the matter.

CIMB Investment Bank Bhd is among banks that may arrange the sale as soon as this month, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the discussions are private.

Khazanah may sell up to $500m of Sukuk

Khazanah Nasional Bhd., Malaysia’s state investment company, plans to raise as much as $500 million selling bonds, according to a Thomson Reuters report. The bonds may have tenors of three- to five-years and may be Islamic notes, or sukuk, the report said, without saying where it got the information. CIMB Group Holdings Bhd. is co-ordinating the sale, the report said.

Overseas Union said to hire two banks for $500m loan

Overseas Union Enterprise, Singapore’s second-largest hotel operator, hired HSBC Holdings Plc and China Construction Bank Corp. to help it get a $500 million loan, according to two people familiar with the matter.
 
The three-year term loan, which has been put for general syndication, is expected to pay about 390 basis points more than the Singapore swap offer rate and banks have been asked to respond by Feb. 12, the people said, asking not to be identified because talks are private.

Tiger Airways begins marketing of $500m IPO, says Aussie report

Tiger Airways Pte, the budget carrier partly owned by Singapore Airlines, has begun pre-marketing an initial share sale to institutions and may seek up to $500 million, the Australian Financial Review reported in its Street Talk column.

Documents for a share sale prospectus are expected to be lodged in Singapore yesterday, the newspaper reported, without saying where it got the information.

Tiger may only raise between $200 million and $250 million because of a limited response to the pre-marketing, the report said.
