Sunmoon Food enters into $24m convertible loan and optional $60m convertible loan facility deal

Sunmoon Food Company has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Chic Foods Asia Pacific Co.

Under the deal, Chic Foods has agreed to invest in the company by way of a $24 million convertible loan and an additional optional $60 million convertible loan facility.

Both parties have also signed exclusive sourcing and service agreements.

Sunmoon Food says it will use the proceeds from the $24 million convertible loan extended by Chic to settle the outstanding principal of another convertible loan agreement signed on 21 March 2007 which amounts to $24.443 million, together with $6.433 million premium accruing.

Sinopipe wins $60m contract to supply, install pipes in Heilongjiang province

Sinopipe Holdings, the manufacturer of plastic pipes and pipe fittings, announced today that it has, through its 99.1% owned subsidiary, Fujian Aton Advanced Materials Science and Technology won a contract to supply and installation of drainage and sewerage pipes and pipe fittings in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang province,

The Jiamusi project is estimated to be worth RMB300 million ($60 million) in total construction and development fees.

Soilbuild to divest Penjuru Logistics Hub for $60m

Integrated property developer Soilbuild Group Holdings has signed a put and call option agreement to divest Penjuru Logistics Hub, a purpose-built logistics warehouse located near Jurong Island and Jurong Port, for $60 million.

The group says it expects to recognise a gain of $16.3 million from the divestment, net of estimated expenses in connection with the sale. Soilbuild had previously recognised a fair value gain of $5.2 million upon revaluation of the warehouse property located at 34 Penjuru Lane following its completion.

ST Engineering unit wins $60m contract to disassemble, recycle ammo

ST Engineering says its land systems arm, ST Kinetics, has been awarded a €30.13 million ($58.8 million) contract for the “demilitarisation” of ammunition for a country in Africa.

The contract involves the supply of specialised equipment and related services, such as training and operations assistance. The first delivery is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2010, with the final delivery expected within the first half of 2012.
