Acer, Lenovo Asus Tap New Intel Chips for Ultrathin Laptops
Intel is looking to give the ultrathin laptop market a boost with the release of low-power processors that officials say will give OEMs new tools to work with when designing their thin and light notebooks. The new ultra low-voltage processors, which span Intel’s Core, Pentium and Celeron product lines, are built on the chip maker’s new 32-nanometer manufacturing process, and other a smaller size, greater performance and better energy consumption than current processors used in ultrathin laptops.
