Sing Holdings acquires Robin Star for $47m

Following its acquisition of Robin Court and 1 Robin Drive last year, Sing Holdings says has entered into a sale and purchase agreement to acquire yet another adjoining site Robin Star for $47 million.

The three sites have a combined land area of 64,878 sqft. With a plot ratio of 1.4 and including a 10% balcony area allocation, the Property can yield a gross floor area of about 99,913 sqft. The total purchase price of $124.33 million translates to $1,297 per square foot per plot ratio, inclusive of estimated development charges of about $5.28 million.

CapitaLand acquires Marine Point condo for $100.7m for redevelopment

CapitaLand says it has signed a sale and purchase agreement to acquire Marine Point condo for $100.68 million through a collective sale to redevelop the property into a condominium with 150 units, comprising one-bedroom plus study and two-bedroom apartments.

Located along Marine Parade Road, Marine Point sits on a 51,185 sqft freehold site with a maximum gross floor area of 107,488 sqft. The Marine Point site is located along Marine Parade Road, opposite the bustling Marine Parade Town Centre and Parkway Parade shopping mall.

Inclusive of an estimated development charge of $12.8 million, the total acquisition cost works out to $1,056 per square foot per plot ratio.

Lian Beng acquires Mandai Estate land for $67m

Builder Lian Beng Group says subsidiary Lian Beng-Centurion (Mandai) has agreed to acquire a freehold land parcel at Mandai Estate along Woodlands Road for $67 million from Mandai Properties to develop the land into an industrial complex for sale and lease.

The 201,443 sq ft land parcel is located close to Yew Tee MRT station, as well as the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) and Kranji Expressway (KJE). It has a plot ratio of 2.5, and a resulting gross floor area of 503,606 sq ft. This works out to an average price of about $133 psf per plot ratio.

Singapore Telecommunications says wholly-owned subsidiary, SingTel Innov8, has acquired a 28.57% stake in 2359 Media, for $800,006.40.

As at Nov 30, the unaudited net asset value per share of 2359 Media was $3.50.

2359 Media is a Singapore-based mobile marketing provider whose core product offering is MobDis, a HTML5-based mobile advertisement creation platform that allows marketers and designers to rapidly create, publish and share engaging mobile advertisements.

ST Engineering’s electronics arm acquires remaining 30% equity stake in PM-B

ST Engineering says ST Electronics (Info-Software Systems) (STEE-InfoSoft) has acquired the remaining 30% equity stake in PM-B from the other existing shareholder, Nicky Ting, for a total cash consideration of $2 million.

With the acquisition, PM-B becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of STEE-InfoSoft, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ST Electronics, the electronics arm of ST Engineering.

Dell acquired SecureWorks, which specializes in managed security, risk assessment, and threat management for corporate customers, to expand its IT-as-a-service portfolio into security. – Dell confirmed on Jan. 4 that it will acquire SecureWorks,

Global Logistic Properties acquires 53% stake in Airport City Development Co.

Global Logistic Properties says it will acquire a 53% interest in Airport City Development Co., Ltd. (ACL), the sole developer of the airside cargo handling and bonded logistics facility at the Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), from Prosper Line Investments Limited and Great Ocean Overseas Holdings Limited.

The deal size is about US$375 million ($483 million) in cash and stock and includes the proposed sale of certain non-core assets, GLP said in a statement.

The company says the investment will advance its strategic position as a provider of air-cargo logistics facilities in China. The ACL properties will also be GLP’s first air cargo facilities to be sited within an airport.

Chemoil Energy acquires OceanConnect’s marine fuel business for $32m, appoints new CEO

Chemoil Energy says unit Chemoil International has acquired the marine fuel group business of OceanConnect Holdings Inc for US$25 million ($32 million) which will be funded by internal resources.

In a separate announcement, Chemoil says it has appointed Tom Reilly, the former chief executive officer of OceanConnect, as its new CEO and director on Monday.

Hu An Cable acquires land to build $17.5m copper rod plant

Mainboard-listed Hu An Cable Holdings, the China-based wire and cable manufacturer, says it recently acquired 61,335 square metres of land in Jiangsu Province for RMB21.2 million ($4.18 million) to build its RMB88.9 million copper rod plant.

The land is located adjacent to the group’s existing production facilities, with a tenure of 50 years. Once completed, the plant will triple its annual production capacity of copper rods from 21,000 tonnes to 75,000 tonnes by September 2011.

SIA Cargo acquires stake in China Cargo Airlines

Singapore Airlines Cargo has signed an agreement to acquire 16% of the equity interest in China Cargo Airlines Co Ltd, subject to regulatory and other approvals.

China Cargo Airlines is a Shanghai-based company incorporated in China, with an initial registered capital of RMB950 million ($188 million).

It was 70% owned by China Eastern Airlines and 30% owned by China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (Cosco).
