gathered to pray for world peace and prosperity. Tibet House US is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 at
the behest of His Holiness the Dalai Lama that serves as a center for the preservation and presentation of the
endangered Tibetan culture.

Singapore employers added fewer jobs than initially estimated

Singapore employers expanded payrolls at a slower pace than initially estimated as the completion of some building projects prompted construction companies to hold back from adding new workers.

The city state added 20,500 jobs in the three months through September, compared with an earlier forecast of 24,100, the Ministry of Manpower said in a statement today. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.1%.

AVJennings says it added over 2,700 residential lots since Jun 30

Residential developer AVJennings today announced details in relation to the addition of over 2,700 lots to its residential pipeline which stood at 9,500 lots as at Jun 30.

The company says it acquired of 470 lots at Cobbitty, New south Wales, a site located in one of Sydney’s most significant growth corridors in South West Sydney. The 43 hectare parcel is zoned residential. Another acquisition is located at Coomera, Queensland.

AVJennings also entered into agreements in relation to the Elysium project in Noosa Heads in Queensland which comprises some 158 lots and 16 nearly completed dwellings, and the Land Management Corporation, a South Australian Government body, in relation to a project of over 1,750 lots at Penfield in Adelaide’s northern growth corridor.

Industry Report Finds 30,000 New Jobs Added in 2010

While the number of tech jobs is running below late 2008/early 2009 numbers, there has been some expansion of hiring. Three major categories of tech jobs have seen growth. – In

Singapore developer bonds slide as rules added to cool prices

Bonds of CapitaLand, Southeast Asia’s biggest developer, fell after Singapore added to measures designed to cool the city-state’s real estate market.

CapitaLand’s $250 million in 4.35% notes due 2019 fell to 101.88 cents on the dollar from 102.48 cents on Aug 27, the lowest in about two weeks, according to Standard Chartered Plc prices. The yield on the $350 million of 4.3%, 10-year bonds it sold this month rose to 4.259% from 4.166.

Singapore employers added more jobs than initially estimated last quarter, pushing the unemployment rate to the lowest level in almost two years as a strengthening economy boosted hiring sentiment.

The city state added 36,500 jobs, compared with an earlier forecast of 34,000, according to revised figures released by the Ministry of Manpower today. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 2.2% in the three months through March from 2.3% the previous quarter.

WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SAFETY, SUSTAINABILITY / ALEX B, GIFT OF GAB, BIG GIGANTIC ADDED TO LATE NIGHT

The Hangout Beach Music and Arts Festival has added a late night show on Friday, May 14. Alex B, Gift of Gab
(Blackalicious), and Big Gigantic will take the stage on
Friday night, pleasing the insatiable ears of those who wish to
go big, instead of going home. After 11 p.m., the party will move away from the beach and into The Hangout. Tickets
are $20 in advance, and $25 day of show and are available through the festival website.

In the interest of public safety, traffic flow, and environmental conservation, The Hangout Beach Music and Arts
Festival is announcing its public transportation plan. A shuttle system is now in place, and ample bicycle
rentals and parking will also be available. For non-local festival attendees, zimride.com is hosting a Ride Share application for the event.

Public Transportation: There will be three shuttle routes running north, west, and east from 10am-12am on Friday May 14 – Sunday May 16. Each shuttle ride will cost patrons $3.00, which may be payable in cash upon
boarding. Weekend all-you-can-ride passes are also available at $10.00 per rider. These wristbands may be
ordered online through the festival website, and they may also be purchased at the festival box office and on each
shuttle bus.

Road Closures: Portions of Hwy 59 will be closed midnight on Thursday May 13 through 6am on Monday
May 17. Highway 59 will be closed for public access for all points south of 1st Street. Beach Blvd will be closed
from East 1st Street to West 2nd Street. West 1st Street will also be closed south of West 1st Avenue.

Bicycles: For the festival attendees who prefer to feel the wind in their hair, Orange Beach Bicycles is the
official bicycle provider for The Hangout Beach Music and Arts Festival. To rent a bicycle, contact 251-974-2025 or
visit their website at www.obbicycles.com. It is recommended that bikers bring and use their own locks.

Carpooling: Non-local festival travelers are encouraged to carpool in the interest of conservation, and a
Ride Share application is being hosted by Zimride. Travelers may find a ride or someone to pitch in for gas by
clicking HERE.

Parking: For festival patrons that wish to drive, parking will be available in the surrounding
neighborhoods, similar to the organic parking system used during the Shrimp Festival.
No Boating Zone. In the interest of public safety, there will be a no boating zone extending 500 feet south from the
festival site.

Employers added jobs as growth spurs hiring sentiment

Singapore’s employers added jobs for a second consecutive quarter and vacancies dropped as an expanding economy boosted hiring sentiment among companies, reported Bloomberg.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.1% in the three months ended December, down from 3.4% in the previous quarter, according to revised figures released by the Ministry of Manpower today. That’s in line with the government’s January estimate. The city-state added 37,500 jobs last quarter, less than an earlier forecast of 38,700 new positions.

6 added to watch-list, 2 given time to improve, SGX says

RH Petrogas and Unified Communications Holdings were granted a 12-month extension to improve their financial performance and exit the stock exchange’s watch-list, while six others were added, reported Bloomberg.

The two given an extension either posted a pretax profit or now have a minimum market value of $40 million, Singapore Exchange said in an e-mailed statement today.

Apple and Google’s Android OS were best performers in 2009s mobile phone and smartphone markets, says Gartner. While phone sales slipped slightly over the year, the fourth quarter finished strong, leading to projections of double-digit growth for 2010.
– The worldwide mobile phone market finished 2009 strong, with sales
to end users exceeding 340 million units in the fourth quarter, for a
