Serbia, Spain sign police agreement

Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dačić and his Spanish counterpart Perez Rubalcaba signed in Madrid an agreement on police cooperation in order to combat crime. The Serbian Interior Ministry said on Tuesday that Dačić stated “the fight against organized crime is one of the most important fields of cooperation between two countries”.

Iran nuclear talks end without agreement

Two days of talks on Iran’s controversial nuclear program have ended without agreement.

“Belgrade wants historic agreement”

Ivica Dačić says “certain countries are willing to ratify the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) only on condition that Serbia recognizes Kosovo”.
“Thanks to the opposition of five member states, the European Union, for now, does not have a unanimous stance that Serbia has to recognize Kosovo’s independence,” the interior minister and first deputy PM told journalists in Belgrade.

Priština media: No agreement on license plates

Media in Priština report that Belgrade and Priština have not reached an agreement on new Serbian license plates.

Kosovo Interior Minister Bajram Rexhepi has also confirmed the information.

The Serbian government and the international community have reached an agreement on new Serbian license plates containing first letters of Kosovo towns. Serbia will be issuing both old and new license plates for Kosovo until the issue is solved in the negotiations between Belgrade and Priština, B92 has learned.

Intel Announces New Patent Cross License Agreement with NVIDIA

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Jan. 10, 2011 – Intel Corporation today announced that it has entered into a new comprehensive long-term patent cross license agreement with NVIDIA. The companies have also resolved pending litigation in Chancery Court in Wilmington, Del., ending all outstanding legal disputes between the companies.

“This agreement ends the legal dispute between the companies, preserves patent peace and provides protections that allow for continued freedom in product design,” said Doug Melamed, Intel senior vice president and general counsel. “It also enables the companies to focus their efforts on innovation and the development of new, innovative products.”

Under the transaction, Intel receives a license to NVIDIA’s patents subject to the terms of the agreement. NVIDIA receives a license to Intel’s patents subject to the terms of the agreement, including that x86 and certain other products are not licensed to NVIDIA under the agreement. Intel and NVIDIA have also exchanged broad releases for all legal claims, including any claims of breach of their previous license agreement. Intel will pay NVIDIA $1.5 billion over the next 5 years. This obligation will be recognized as a liability totaling approximately $1.4 billion, on a discounted basis. Intel recognized an expense of $100 million in the fourth-quarter of 2010, classified as “marketing, general and administrative.” The remaining amount, approximately $1.3 billion, will be recognized as an intangible asset in the first quarter of 2011 and will be amortized into cost of sales over future periods.With the exception of one agreement term that is confidential, the agreement will be made available in filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and can be viewed at www.intel.com/pressroom/legal.

The Think Environmental Co rated ‘increase exposure’ by SIAS Research

SIAS Research in a Dec 28 research report says: “The Think Environmental Co (Think) announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase 70% of Mornington Offshore Inc – the beneficial owner of two gold mining licenses in Africa. This agreement follows the memorandum of agreement inked earlier this month and is a confirmation of Think’s venture into gold mining.

China Fishery signs $550.8m club loan agreement

China Fishery Group signed a US$425 million ($550 million) four-year club loan agreement, including a $340 million term loan and an US$85 million revolving loan, the Hong Kong-based company said in a statement today.
