Jeff Beck: Les Paul Tribute Tour, CD/DVD, PBS Special

TRIBUTE CONCERT OUT ON DVD FEB. 22; TOUR STARTS MARCH 24; SPECIAL AIRS NOV.
27

Jeff Beck

Jeff Beck paid fitting
tribute to Les Paul last
summer, celebrating what would have been the pioneering guitarist’s 95th birthday
by playing his friend and mentor’s music, along with classic tunes from the era, in the same Times Square nightclub
that Paul played every Monday for 14 years before his death in August 2009.

Sponsored by Gibson Guitar and billed as “A Celebration of Les Paul,” Beck was joined by The Imelda May Band at the Iridium Jazz
Club in June 2010. The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee mesmerized the star-studded audience with
a tour de force performance of classics Paul recorded with Mary Ford, “How High The Moon,” “Vaya Con Dios” and
“Mockin’ Bird Hill,” along with such rock and roll standards as “Twenty Flight Rock” and “Walking In The Sand.”

For those left off the guest list, Eagle Rock Entertainment and ATCO will offer this one of a kind performance to
purchase. Rock and Roll Party to Honor Les Paul will be available on DVD and CD February 22. A
PBS special of the event, Jeff Beck Honors Les Paul, is set to premiere on November 27 and air throughout
December. Check local listings for times.

Following these releases, Beck will take the “Rock And Roll Party” on the road for a short U.S. tour. Beck will once
again be backed by The Imelda May Band and its enchanting singer Imelda May, who joined Beck on stage
at the 2010 Grammy® Awards for a spot-on rendition of Paul’s “How High The Moon.” Further details about tickets
will be announced in the coming weeks.

Over The Rhine: Album & Dates

THE LONG SURRENDER PRODUCED BY JOE HENRY OUT JANUARY 11

Over The Rhine

The Long Surrender is the new studio album from the southern Ohio-based husband-and-wife
team of multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Linford Detweiler and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Karin
Bergquist
, otherwise known as Over the Rhine. The fan-funded record, to be released January 11, 2011 on OtR’s own
Great Speckled Dog label (named for the couple’s Great Dane, Elroy), marks 20 years since their 1991 debut. It’s the
result of a collaboration between the couple and Joe Henry, whose songs they’ve long admired.

Over the Rhine will preview The Long Surrender over a series of fall tour dates, the centerpiece of which is
“Over the Rhine Across the West” , a five-day music festival held November 5-10 aboard railroad cars from Los
Angeles to Santa Fe, across the Mohave Desert, tracing the lines of Route 66, “the Mother Road,” and then by
chartered motor-coach to the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, Winslow, AZ and the Grand Canyon, before re-
boarding for the return trip. Also featured are Lucy Wainwright Roche, Mickey Grimm and
Swan

, as well as
photographer Michael Wilson and naturalist Lynn Neal.

Infamous Stringdusters and Trampled By Turtles Tour

TWO PREMIERE NEXT GENERATION STRING OUTFITS COLLIDE

“The Infamous Stringdusters epitomizes the ethic of today’s young ‘new-grass’ artists. Their instrumental virtuosity is front and center, but it’s paired with an insouciant curiosity for everything from shiny Nashville harmonies to jam-band wonkery.” – LA Times

“Shooting sparks in the face of folk traditionalism; Trampled by Turtles approaches the banjo and mandolin with a level of brash recklessness hardly heard since the now-mythical reign of Uncle Tupelo. Bill Monroe and Joe Strummer would both be proud.” – SF Bay Guardian

The definition of bluegrass is being challenged. Ever since the Oh Brother bubble burst, string-bands have developed into the mainstream redefining “bluegrass” and shifting the limiting paradigm of acoustic instruments. Divergent string-band worlds collide as thrash-grassers Trampled by Turtles and virtuosic-jammers The Infamous Stringdusters team up to bring you the Fly Palomino Tour in November.
