AusGroup bags $38m oil and gas fabrication services contract
AusGroup’s Australian subsidiary, AGC Industries Pty Ltd, has been awarded a contract by Woodside Energy to provide fabrication services to support the maintenance programme at Woodside’s facilities, onshore at the Burrup Peninsular and offshore on the North West Shelf.
The three-year contract is valued about A$30 million ($38 million) plus. The contract starts today for an initial term of three years with the option of extending for another three successive years.
AusGroup awarded $127m BHP Billiton Iron Ore contract
AusGroup says its unit AGC Industries won a A$100 million ($127 million) contract by BHP Billiton Iron Ore.
Under the deal, Australian subsidiary AGC Industries will construct an ore handling plant and the stockpile and conveyor systems.
AusGroup posts 70.4% drop in 1Q earnings to $2.1m
AusGroup, the specialist service provider to the natural resources sector, says revenue for the three months ended Sept 30, 2009 (1Q FY2010) fell 43% to A$73.9 million ($93.2 million) due to the impact of reduced activity levels in the group’s Australian operations.
These were caused by the global financial crisis as well as by client-driven schedule changes resulting in delays to several Australian contracts, says AusGroup.
AusGroup also says Modern Access Services (MAS), which was acquired in May 2009, registered its maiden quarterly contribution of A$9.9 million in revenue for 1Q FY2010.
AusGroup Australian unit awarded 2 extra contracts worth $38m for Pluto LNG project
AusGroup says Australian subsidiary, AGC Industries Pty Ltd was awarded two contracts associated with construction of an Effluent Treatment Plant by Woodside as part of the Pluto LNG project.
The first contract of A$20 million ($28 million) involves the installation of equipment and pre-assembled package units, piping and structural steel work. Completion is scheduled for June 2010.
