Sands, Singapore law group said to settle unpaid bills dispute

Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s Singapore casino resort and a lawyers’ group agreed to settle lawsuits over unpaid bills and compensation for a May conference, said two people with direct knowledge of the decision.

A notice to discontinue the lawsuits probably will be filed by tomorrow, the people said, declining to be identified because the agreement isn’t public.

Singapore central bank bills to soak up inflows, analysts say

Singapore’s planned issuance of central bank bills will help limit money-supply growth as investors channel more funds into the world’s fastest-growing economy, say Standard Chartered Plc and Barclays Plc.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore, or MAS, yesterday announced that it will issue negotiable central bank bills with maturities of up to three months from the second quarter of 2011. The government predicts gross domestic product will increase as much as 15% this year and the MAS in April unexpectedly revalued the Singapore dollar to help contain inflation.

Singapore central bank to introduce short-term bills from Q2 2011

Singapore’s central bank said on Thursday it will issue short-term bills next year, a fourth instrument for money markets, to help banks manage their liquidity.

Singapore sells $3.5b of Treasury bills due in April

Singapore’s government sold $3.5 billion of zero coupon Treasury bonds which mature in April 2010, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
 
The city-state is expected to grow its economy by 4.%t next year as exports recover and industrial production increases, the Asian Development Bank said in forecasts published Dec. 15.
