The bodies of three people believed to have frozen to death have been found in Sarajevo and Teslić, Bosnia-Herzegovina. The body of H.Ä., 55, was found in a broken-down house in Ilidža, Sarajevo, and the doctor confirmed that the victim had died of freezing.

Former Bosnian army officer arrested
Former deputy commander of a special unit of the Bosnia-Herzegovina army has been arrested under suspicion that he committed war crimes during the war. Nihad Bojadžić, 47, deputy commander of a unit dubbed “Zulfikar”, was arrested in Sarajevo, and is suspected of murdering over 20 people in Trusina, near Konjic, during 1993, the Bosnian prosecution stated.
Bosnia politician slams Sweden

Inzko: Little chance of Bosnia joining EU by 2014
The High Representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina Valentin Inzko said that he doubts that Bosnia will be able to become a European Union member by 2014. “That year is an overly optimistic deadline. Rehn cancels meetings in Bosnia
EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn has cancelled his meetings with Bosnian officials in Sarajevo because of health problems, according to the EC. Rehn was expected to meet with officials of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency and Council of Ministers. He was also expected to address the state parliament, the Fena news agency reported.
NGOs warn of Kosovo “ghettoizationâ€
A group of NGOs from Kosovo has sent a letter to the EU calling for a revision of the European Commission’s visa liberalization recommendation. The European Commission adopted a recommendation last week calling for visa liberalization for Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro by January 2010, while insisting that Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albanian fulfill added conditions before receiving the same recommendation.
B. Croat leader backs Tadić proposal
The chairman of the Bosnian Presidency supports Serbia’s proposal for the ex-Yugoslav republics to organize the Non-Aligned Movement’s 50th anniversary summit. “My personal opinion of President Boris Tadić’s proposal is very positive… but because of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s peculiarities, my personal opinion is not enough for Bosnia to officially come on board. That kind of decision can only be taken by the Bosnian Presiency as a whole, through a consensus,“ Željko KomÅ¡ić told daily Danas.
