RS, Serbia on “success of parallel ties”

Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković and Republic Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik met in Banja Luka, RS, on Tuesday. They said that the agreement on special and parallel ties in place between the Bosnian Serb entity Serbia is being successfully implemented.

Croat president RS daily’s “man of year”

A Banja Luka, RS, based newspaper has announced that Croatian President Ivo Josipović has been chosen as their Personality of the Year. Josipović told Nezavisne Novine, published in the Bosnian Serb entity’s largest town, that coexistence of the peoples living in neighboring countries had no alternative.

RS PM Milorad Dodik has stated that Serbia does not have a mandate to solve political issues on behalf of the Bosnian Serb entity. He warned Belgrade about Turkey’s policy toward the region.

Dodik on Kosovo, and “new conditions”

Republic of Srpska (RS) PM Milorad Dodik has stated that the the Bosnian Serb entity “will never abandon defending Serbia’s position on Kosovo”.
He also said he would support Serbia “even when it makes mistakes”, but that he believes the going before the United Nations General Assembly will not have a better outcome than that before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Republic of Srpska (RS) Prime Minister Milorad Dodik said on Tuesday that Banja Luka supports the Serbian parliament’s new resolution on Kosovo. After his meeting with the leaders of RS political parties, Dodik told reporters that the Bosnian Serb entity will continue to back Serbia in its policy on Kosovo.

Republic of Srpska (RS) Prime Minister Milorad Dodik says the ICJ advisory opinion concerning Kosovo Albanian UDI was “contrary to international law”. The head of the government of the Bosnian Serb entity also said the tribunal’s decision would have ramifications around the globe in the regions marked by animosities between autonomous provinces and states.

Top state officials travel to RS

Top Serbian and Republika Srpska (RS) officials met in Banja Luka on Tuesday behind closed doors for the third session of the Council for Cooperation. The body was founded in accordance with the Special Parallel Relations Agreement between Serbia and the Bosnian Serb entity, RS.

Croatian president honors “all victims”

Croatian President Ivo Josipović yesterday visited the Bosnian Serb entity, Republic of Srpska (RS). Republic of Srpska (RS) Prime Minister Milorad Dodik has once again accused “foreigners of interfering too much in relations within Bosnia-Herzegovina”. The Bosnian Serb entity premier said that new British Foreign Minister William Hague was “playing a bully” when he said that “some muscle should be shown” in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The decision could come from the High International Representative in Bosnia Valentin Inzko, who heads the Office of the High Representative (OHR), and would relate to extending the mandates of foreign judges and prosecutors in Bosnia.
