Microsoft Offers Choice of Browsers to Appease EC

The European Commission confirms that Microsoft, the world’s largest software maker, in a good-faith effort to resolve a nagging antitrust case, has offered to change its upcoming Windows 7 operating system to provide European users for the first time with a choice of Web browsers.
