With anger mounting over its controversial media law, new EU president Hungary appeared to bow to its critics, saying it will change the law if necessary.
Speaking to a select group of foreign journalists in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said his government is willing to cooperate if the European Union deems the law unacceptable in its current form.

Spokesman for former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany, David Daroczi, committed suicide in Budapest on Friday night, laccording to local reports. Police did not want to say that a suicide was in question out of respect to the family of the victim, but stated that early investigations have ruled out homicide and that no motives for the killing were uncovered.
