About 10,000 people protested last night in Budapest against the controversial media law which came into effect on January 1.
This is the second such protest in Budapest. The first was held on December 20.

With anger mounting over its controversial media law, new EU president Hungary appeared to bow to its critics, saying it will change the law if necessary.
Speaking to a select group of foreign journalists in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said his government is willing to cooperate if the European Union deems the law unacceptable in its current form.

Helmet is heading overseas on November 17 for a month-long European tour encompassing 11 countries
and 26 dates. They’ll be armed with a set list including their classics and material from the new full-length album

The European dates kick off in the Netherlands and will take Helmet– vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Page

Case–to some of the largest cites including Copenhagen, Munich, Paris and London before concluding
December 17 in Glasgow, Scotland. The band is also planning another U.S. run for March 2011. The dates for that

FM Vuk Jeremić said in Budapest on Friday that the next ten days and the first half of 2011 will be very important for Serbia’s EU integration. Spokesman for former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany, David Daroczi, committed suicide in Budapest on Friday night, laccording to local reports. Police did not want to say that a suicide was in question out of respect to the family of the victim, but stated that early investigations have ruled out homicide and that no motives for the killing were uncovered.

FM Vuk Jeremić said during his visit to Budapest today that to tie Serbia’s EU perspective to the problem of Kosovo would be “a tragic mistake”. “Anyone who thinks that Serbia, in case it had to choose between the European Union and Kosovo, would choose the EU, is making a mistake.
