Boustead wins contract to design, build and lease Hawker Pacific private jet sales and …

Boustead Singapore says it has won a contract of an undisclosed amount to design, build and lease an integrated private jet sales and maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for Hawker Pacific Asia at Seletar Aerospace Park. Expected to be completed in 1Q 2012, the facility has a gross floor area of 9,400 square metres.

Keppel to build two jackups worth US$416m for Discovery Offshore

Keppel FELS says it has secured a contract worth about US$416 million ($532 million) from Discovery Offshore S.A. (Discovery Offshore) to construct two harsh environment jackup rigs based on KFELS’s Super A Class design.

The rigs are scheduled for delivery in 1H and 2H 2013 respectively. The construction, marketing and operation of both units will be managed by Nasdaq-listed Hercules Offshore, Inc., which is a leading global operator of jackup and liftboat assets.

Boustead units secure $25m deal to design, build demineralisation plant for Tuas Power

Boustead Singapore says wholly-owned subsidiary, Boustead Salcon Water Solutions, the water and wastewater engineering specialist, has won a $25 million contract to design, engineer and construct a demineralisation plant at the Tembusu multi-utilities complex owned by Tuas Power.

Boustead Salcon will partner Boustead Projects, the specialist in industrial real-estate solutions to deliver the Demin plant.

Keppel to build two jackups for Clearwater worth $462m

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has secured new orders from Clearwater Capital Partners, LLC (Clearwater) to build a pair of premium KFELS B Class jackup rigs at US$360 million ($462 million).

The two high specification jackups are scheduled for delivery in 1Q 2013 and 2Q 2013 respectively.

As part of the agreement, Clearwater has options to build another two similar jackup units with Keppel FELS. If exercised, the options for the additional two rigs will bring the total contract value to above US$730 million.

Samsung C&T wins $257.5m order to build Singapore’s third LNG tank: Update

South Korea’s Samsung C&T Corporation (000830.KS) has won a US$200 million ($257.5 million) contract to build a third storage tank at Singapore’s upcoming liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, the company said on Friday.

It won the contract from Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG), and expects to complete the project by early 2014. The additional tank will allow the terminal to handle up to 6 million tonnes per year (tpy).

Samsung C&T wins $257.5m order to build Singapore’s third LNG tank

South Korea’s Samsung C&T Corporation has won a US$200 million ($257.5 million) contract to build a third storage tank at Singapore’s upcoming liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, the company said on Friday.

Tiong Seng to build $26m factory for pre-cast concrete components

Mainboard-listed construction group Tiong Seng Holdings says wholly-owned subsidiary Robin Village Developments is building a $26 million prefab hub to supply pre-cast concrete components. The 19,000 sqm mechanised prefab hub, to be completed in the third quarter of 2011, will double its current output to more than 100,000 cubic metres of pre-cast components annually.

Keppel Corp to build $236m rig for Jasper

Keppel Corp (KPLM.SI), the world’s biggest rig maker, has won an order to build a jackup rig worth US$180 million ($236 million) from Singapore-listed offshore drilling firm Jasper Investments (JASP.SI) with an option for another similar unit.

If exercised, the option of the additional rig will bring the total value of the contract to about US$365 million.

Hu An Cable acquires land to build $17.5m copper rod plant

Mainboard-listed Hu An Cable Holdings, the China-based wire and cable manufacturer, says it recently acquired 61,335 square metres of land in Jiangsu Province for RMB21.2 million ($4.18 million) to build its RMB88.9 million copper rod plant.

The land is located adjacent to the group’s existing production facilities, with a tenure of 50 years. Once completed, the plant will triple its annual production capacity of copper rods from 21,000 tonnes to 75,000 tonnes by September 2011.

SembMarine bags US$400m contract to build 2 jackup rigs for Noble

Sembcorp Marine’s subsidiary Jurong Shipyard has secured two turnkey contracts with a combined value of up to US$400 million ($525.2 million) to build two jackup rigs with options for another four jackup rigs from a subsidiary of Noble Corporation.

If all four of the options are exercised, the total estimated value of the six jackup rigs is expected to be in the region of US$1.2 billion.
