The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading today, say Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters. Singapore’s Straits Times Index fell less than 0.1% 2,908.42 last Friday.
US stocks slid last Friday after JPMorgan Chase & Co reported deep fourth quarter loan losses and raised concerns about bank profits.
Palm oil suppliers: Crude palm oil for March delivery dropped 1.6% in Kuala Lumpur on Jan. 15. Golden Agri-Resources (GGR SP), the world’s second-biggest palm oil producer, dropped 4.2% to 57 cents. Indofood Agri Resources (IFAR SP), the palm oil unit of Indonesia’s biggest noodle maker, tumbled 4.6% to $2.29. Wilmar International (WIL SP), the world’s biggest palm oil trader, added 1% to $7.11.

Nomura Research in a Jan 12 research report says: “CCT recently issued the first MTN (medium term note) note since August 2008. Together with the liquidity on hand, we think the $150 million MTN maturity in March is now addressed. We raised our FY2010-2011F DPU estimates by 2.2% to principally reflect lower net finance costs. Listed entities continue to demonstrate the ability to refinance and there are signs access to capital for private entities is also improving.
