Chasen Holdings bags China relocation contracts worth $11.4m

Chasen Holdings, the relocation specialist for sophisticated machinery and equipment, says its Shanghai unit has successfully clinched two relocation projects in China. The projects, which involve the relocation of TFT LCD plants, have a combined value of RMB58.45 million ($11.37 million).

The first project, worth RMB8.45 million, involves the turnkey relocation of a 3rd-generation LCD factory from Kunshan in Jiangsu to Changsha in Hunan. Services rendered by Chasen Hi-Tech will include packing and moving out from the Kunshan plant, transporting the equipment to and moving them into the Changsha plant. The project will be conducted from January to March 2011.

Chasen to acquire 100% equity interest in builder of industrial water and waste treatment …

Relocation specialist Chasen Holdings says the company and its unit Hup Lian Engineering have agreed to acquire 100% of the equity interest in Global Technology Synergy for up to $4.5 million.

GTS is in the business of process engineering and construction of industrial ultra-pure water and waste treatment facilities.

Towards Green Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian wholly-owned subsidiary of GTS, also does process engineering and construction of chemical, automation and electrical system.

The purchase consideration of up to $4.5 million will include $4 million worth of new Chasen shares and up to $0.5 million in cash.

Chasen wins 2 China relocation contracts for $12m

Chasen Holdings, one of the leading relocation specialists with complementary technical and engineering capabilities listed on SGX-Catalist, is pleased to announce that it secured two relocation projects in Nanjing and Beijing, China, with total value of RMB60 million ($11.9 million).

Chasen Logistics Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the group, is engaged by a major Japanese electronics manufacturer to move a 6th-generation TFT LCD plant to their new establishment in Nanjing, China. The RMB20 million relocation project will commence in October 2010 and is expected to be completed by April 2011.

Chasen Holdings reports 34.5% rise in 1Q net profit to $1.6m

Chasen Holdings, the relocation specialist with technical/engineering capabilities, reported a 34.5% y-o-y increase in net profit after tax to $1.6 million in 1Q2011.

The group posted a 3.2% y-o-y increase in revenue for 1Q2011 primarily due to continuation of recently started and commencement of new relocation projects in China, which boosted the contributions from the Relocation Services and Third Party Logistics Services business segments.

Chasen Holdings unit wins 2 contracts to design, build Shanghai factories for $22m

Chasen Holdings, the relocation specialist with complementary technical/engineering capabilities listed on Catalist, says it has secured two design-and-build contracts worth RMB107 million ($21.6 million) through the group’s subsidiary, Shanghai FengChuang Enterprise Management Consultant Co. (SFEMC).

SFEMC will be designing and building factories in Shanghai and these projects are expected to be completed by 2011. SFEMC will be responsible for providing design and construction management services under the new contracts, while the two newly acquired subsidiaries, Shanghai ZhuangHe Construction Co. and Shanghai FengChuang M&E Equipment Co. will execute the projects.

Singapore shares may see a weak start on Friday, as US stocks ended little changed overnight and economic concerns keep global markets subdued.

Singapore’s benchmark Straits Times Index (.FTSTI) fell 0.31% on Thursday to 2,943.55 points.

Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI), the world’s second-biggest airline by market value, said on Thursday it filled 71% of the space available on its planes for passengers and cargo in June. The figure was higher than the 69.1% recorded in May and 67.6% in June last year.

Chasen Holdings started at Buy by CIMB with $0.56 target

CIMB starts Chasen Holdings (5NV.SG) at Buy with $0.56 target price, based on 8.4x FY11 P/E, says Dow Jones.

CIMB says provider of relocation services, engineering solutions to manufacturing, construction, marine industries expected to gain from increased demand for LCD TV sets, higher infrastructure spending in China.

Chasen unit forms JV to expand into China market

Catalist-listed Chasen Holdings today announced that wholly-owned subsidiary Chasen (Shanghai) Hi-tech Machinery Services has entered into a joint venture with Sinotrans Air Transportation Development Co. on 21 May 2010 to further expand its market in China.

Chasen Holdings posts 108% rise in 3Q net profit to $0.2m

Chasen Holdings says net profit for the third-quarter (Q3 FY2010) rose 108% to $0.2 million compared from $0.08 million for the corresponding period last year.

Chasen is an investment holding company with subsidiaries providing specialist relocation solutions, facilities for packing and warehousing of machinery and equipment and other third party logistics services, technical and engineering services for the region’s manufacturing, marine and construction industries.
