PREMIERES TODAY

The Avett Brothers

American/Columbia recording artists The Avett Brothers will release Live, Volume 3 on CD and DVD on
October 5, 2010. This electric performance was recorded on August 8, 2009 at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC.
A special thrill for the band after seeing artists like Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Queen and Bob Dylan grace this same stage.
Live, Volume 3 will feature material culled from their decade-long career including their most recent,
critically acclaimed album I and Love and You. Live, Volume 3 showcases the amazing live
performances
that have helped The Avett Brothers build a legion of loyal fans; growing exponentially with each release,
performance and appearance. Live, Volume 3 is available for pre-
order at www.theavettbrothers.com/us/livevol3

A new video for “Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise” premiered on NPR Music’s All Songs Considered blog (www.npr.org/allsongs) today. Comprised of artwork
painted by Jason Ryan Mitchum and inspired by notable modern artists such as Phillipe Halsman and William
Kentridge (who just put on a major show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York), the video displays the
importance of fine art in The Avett Brothers’ work, furthermore demonstrated by Scott Avett‘s burgeoning
art career. His own original artwork, “Julianne in Vain”, served as the cover art for The Avett Brothers’ 2009
American/Columbia release, I and Love and You.

The Avett Brothers continue to tour in support of I and Love and You with notable headlining performances
at New York’s famed Radio City Music Hall, Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre and culminating with two nights at

Jackson Browne & David Lindley Album & International Tour

JACKSON BROWNE & DAVID LINDLEY COME TOGETHER FOR INTERNATIONAL TOUR

THE DUO RELEASE LOVE IS STRANGE, A 2-CD LIVE SET ON MAY 11

Jackson Browne

Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne will take to the road this summer with his band and longtime friend and musical co-conspirator David Lindley. Comprising dates in the U.S. and Europe, the Jackson Browne with David Lindley Tour follows the May 11 release of Love Is Strange (Inside Recordings), a 2-CD live set capturing a tour of Spain that Browne and Lindley did in 2006.

The Jackson Browne with David Lindley Tour begins with a month-long European leg kicking off in Bristol, UK on June 3. Other highlights include shows at the Stadpark in Hamburg, Germany (6/15), Casino de Paris in Paris, France (6/18), and Hampton Court Palace and Royal Albert Hall in London (6/8 and 6/29, respectively). More European dates will be announced shortly.

Stateside, the Jackson Browne with David Lindley Tour gets underway July 20 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. U.S. summer dates run through the end of September; the first U.S. leg concludes at Chastain Park Amphitheater in Atlanta on August 15. Highlights along the way include the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (7/23), the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA (7/24), Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO (8/5), and the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX (8/13).

Accompanying Jackson Browne and David Lindley on tour will be Browne’s band of almost 20 years: Kevin McCormick (bass), Mark Goldenberg (guitars), Mauricio Lewak (drums) and Jeff Young (keyboards, backing vocals). They’re joined by members (since 2008) Chavonne Stewart and Alethea Mills, vocalists Browne (as a mentor) met in 2001 when they were attending Washington Preparatory High School in South Los Angeles, singing in the school choir.

On record and in performance, Jackson Browne and David Lindley have a musical association reaching back almost 40 years. Regarded as a legendary stringed-instrument virtuoso, Lindley has played on many of Browne’s albums, beginning with 1973′s For Everyman, and on classics including Late For The Sky and The Pretender (the latter two both on Rolling Stone‘s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time). Browne also produced Lindley’s best-known LP, 1983′s acclaimed El Rayo-X.

Prior to 2010′s Jackson Browne with David Lindley Tour, the last time the two musicians played live dates together was a 2006 run of concerts in Spain-in grand concert halls, rock venues, and intimate clubs alike. That tour resulted in the forthcoming 2-CD album Love Is Strange, “En Vivo Con Tino” – featuring Browne and Lindley live with celebrated Spanish percussionist Tino di Geraldo. Set for worldwide release May 11 on Browne’s independent label Inside Recordings, Love Is Strange was produced by Jackson Browne and Paul Dieter.

In liner notes Browne wrote for Love Is Strange, he considers Lindley’s reputation for elusiveness, nearly as mythic as his string-playing prowess. “Why had I not thought of this before? Take him where he doesn’t speak the language and he will HAVE TO leave the gig and come with you to the restaurant, or to the club,” says Browne. “This was an unexpected strategy breakthrough in a pursuit that for a legion of friends, disciples and admirers has become known as ‘stalking the wild Lindley.’”

My Morning Jacket Tour with Preservation Hall Jazz Band

MY MORNING JACKET HIT THE ROAD WITH PRESERVATION HALL JAZZ BAND

My Morning Jacket

It’s been almost a full year, but the wait is finally over. My Morning Jacket is ready to bring its electrifying live show back on the road. The guys will make their way around the Southeastern United States this Spring, including a performance at this year’s Jazz Fest in New Orleans.

MMJ are also excited to try something new with their choice for an opening act, and bring some of the spirit of NOLA along with them. The band is honored that the historic Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be supporting them on the run.

The connection with the PHJB originated in the Spring of 2009 when MMJ front man Jim James was invited to sing with them at their home turf, New Orleans’ legendary Preservation Hall. James recorded two songs with the band: “St. James Infirmary” and “Louisiana Fairytale.” The tracks will appear on the bands forthcoming album, Preservation: An Album To Benefit Preservation Hall & The Preservation Hall Music Outreach Program, out February 16.

“When I got the invitation to go to the legendary Preservation Hall – where SO much of the music we now know and love on this earth found its early roots – I did not waste a minute,” James reminisces. “Getting to sing while the guys played with such glorious bursts of sound – all live in that holy room with the ghosts and garbage trucks crankin’ along – was an experience I’ll never forget.”

The PHJB’s leader Ben Jaffe shares his memory of playing with James: “I couldn’t have imagined Jim fitting in any better with the guys at Preservation Hall. Creating music is not a science. There is no tried and true formula. There is an unspoken bond amongst musicians. One that exists in the notes we choose. Jim’s like our long lost cousin coming home for the first time.”
