Suspected Šarić group members interrogated

The interrogation of 14 people arrested under the suspicion of having ties with Darko Å arić’s cocaine smuggling group has been completed in Ljubljana. Nine of the suspects have been taken into custody while three are on house arrested and two were set free, according to local television.

Prosecution indicts Šarić crime group

Darko Šarić and 19 members of his criminal group have been indicted under the suspicion of being involved in cocaine smuggling activities. The Special Prosecution for Organized Crime charged Šarić and his group for cocaine smuggling activities in Serbia, Western Europe and South America, according to Special Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljević.

Subotić involved in cocaine smuggling?

A new investigation against Stanko Subotić aka Cane is in the works, Belgrade daily Blic writes today. Subotić is already accused in Serbia of taking part in cigarette smuggling operations, and could now be investigated for involvement in cocaine smuggling, along with Darko Šarić.

“Cocaine kingpin hides in Montenegro”

Serbian Special Prosecutor for Organize Crime, Miljko Radisavljević said that cocaine smuggling suspect Darko Šarić is currently in Montenegro. “According to very serious estimates, it is easiest for him to be hiding in that country, so this possibility definitely cannot be ruled out,” Radisavljević said.

International drug ring suspect arrested

Montenegrin police have arrested a person in Podgorica for whom Italy has issued an Interpol warrant for suspected involvement in an international drug ring. Police stated that the person is suspected in Italy in a case related to an international cocaine smuggling operation.

Three more arrests in cocaine bust

Three more persons have been arrested in Kragujevac suspected of being involved in the smuggling of 2.5 tons of cocaine.

Special organized crime prosecutor Miljko Radisavljević said that the investigation against those suspected of being part of an international cocaine smuggling operation from South America to Europe was continuing, adding that three persons had been arrested in Kragujevac on Thursday.

“Montenegrin ordered massive cocaine shipment”

Ivica Dačić says that all persons from Montenegro suspected to be linked to the case of cocaine smuggling from Columbia would be questioned. Daily Dan from Podgorica writes today on its front page that the person who had ordered the drugs from Columbia is Dragan Å arić – a “businessman” from Pljevlja in northern Montenegro – who owns several cafes, popular night club Maximus in Kotor, on the Adriatic coast, and Rudar football club from Pljevlja.
