Đelić: Secret services not doing enough

Hague Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz’s stand is that Serbian secret services did not do enough to arrest the fugitives, Deputy PM Božidar Đelić said.

“Without ascertainment of full cooperation with The Hague there will be no beginning of negotiations on Serbia’s EU membership,” he told daily Blic.

Priština-based daily Koha Ditore criticized Serbian Deputy PM Božidar Đelić over his statement about Serbia’s fight for Kosovo during his visit to Prizren.

Đelić visited Prizren on Christmas and spoke about Serbia’s “fight” for Kosovo and said that Belgrade would not renounce Kosovo.

Serbia’s Deputy PM Božidar Đelić met on Tuesday in Belgrade with representatives of Hewlett-Packard (HP).
Đelić – who is also minister for technology and science in the current cabinet – and HP Personal Systems Group in EMEA General Manager Achim Kuttler discussed the possibilities of cooperation regarding scientific and technological development, said reports.

Quick and determined reshuffle of the government could contribute to European integrations, said Deputy PM Božidar Đelić, daily Danas reported.

“Quality reshuffle can contribute to government’s efficiency. On the other hand, frequent changes are not good for work,” he was quoted as saying.

EU membership talks, “by next elections”

Deputy PM Božidar Đelić said on Wednesday he expected Serbia to enter EU accession negotiations by the end of the current government’s mandate. After EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fuele presented Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković with the European Commission questionnaire, Đelić told Tanjug he believed the government and the people would now work towards EU membership just as hard as they did in order to be able to travel to the Schengen area without EU visas.

Đelić: We are running new race

Deputy PM Božidar Đelić has said that the recommendations of the European Commission (EC) to Serbia have to be met by mid-2011. In an interview published by Večernje Novosti today, Đelić said that he would hand the Government 2011 Action Plan for the EU to European Union Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele on November 24, when Fuele is scheduled to bring the EC questionnaire.

Deputy PM to attend IMF, WB sessions

Nuclear decommissioning of Vinča this year

Deputy PM Božidar Đelić says the project of nuclear decommissioning of the Vinča Nuclear Institute should be completed by the end of 2010.
