LMA International NV in advanced negotiations to acquire US medical device manufacturer and …

Mainboard-listed LMA International NV, the provider of supraglottic airway management devices, says it is in advanced talks to acquire Wolfe Tory Medical, a Salt Lake City, Utah-based manufacturer and distributor of medical devices.

The expected cash consideration for the acquisition is US$13.1 million ($17.3 million), plus additional deferred payments based on the 2012 trailing sales of two new products that will be introduced in 2011. But the proposed acquisition will not include Wolfe Tory Medical’s critical care product, AbViser.

HTC Windows Phone 7 Device Latest with Antenna Problems: Reports

The Windows Phone 7–running HTC HD7 smartphone is the latest to be said to suffer from “death grip” the antenna problem that first plagued the iPhone 4. – The HTC HD7 appears to be the latest smartphone to fall victim to the antenna “death grip,” according to reports.

In a video from YouTube that is making the rounds, the phone is seen dropping bars when encircled in a meaty mitt the so-called death grip and then regaining them when released.

BlackBerry AppWorld application catalog for BlackBerry smartphones lets users shop for and purchase mobile apps from a PC Web browser. Windows users browsing from Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox can search the online app catalog and see whether their each app works on their specific device. Using the required Web browser plug-in, I could then purchase and download apps, then sync them to the BlackBerry& as long as the device is connected via USB. Apps may not be purchased from the PC then pushed to the device over the air, and I couldn’t even complete the sale from the PC without the device attached to the PC. At least Apple doesn’t require the device to be present to purchase an app. The new MyWorld page does let users see what apps have been purchased (or obtained free), whether they need an upgrade and whether they are installed on the connected BlackBerry smartphone. The Apple TV is now available. The question of whether consumers should buy the device now or wait and see what the competition will soon offer has been widely debated since Apple finally announced the product on Sept. 1.The answer is to buy it now. In testing, the Apple TV performs quite well. The streaming experience is outstanding; the hard drive isnt even missed; and most consumers should be able to work their way around the software without much trouble.
