K-Reit Asia to distribute $18m in 3Q

K-Reit Asia, the office landlord owned by Keppel Land, says its third-quarter distribution to shareholders will be $18 million, up 18.3% compared to 3Q08. This means a distribution unit of 2.69 cents.

Turnover for 3Q2009 was $15.7 million, an increase of $1.8 million or 12.9% over 3Q2008. This improvement was due mainly to positive rental reversions.

KEK Distribution Director in Uroševac Izet Rusiti said that electricity will be given to 15 regional villages, with Štrpce being excluded, however. “Electricity has been given to everyone but residents in Štrpce, which is the municipal headquarters, because the residents of Štrpce have not paid the lump sum of EUR 26 for 70 percent of households, as it was agreed on,” Rusiti said.

Cisco Teams with Swiss Company on Smart Grid Projects

Cisco Systems, which began its aggressive push into the power distribution space in May, is partnering with energy metering technology maker Landis+Gyr to create smart grid solutions that will benefit both the companies that generate and distribute energy and the people who consume it. Power distribution is one of 30 market sectors that Cisco is aiming its solutions at.

Starhill Global REIT achieves DPU of 1.9 cents for 2Q

Starhill Global REIT says it has achieved a distributable income of $18.4 million for 2Q 2009.

Distribution Per Unit (DPU) for the period 1 April to 30 June 2009 was 1.90 cents, 6.7% higher compared to the 1.78 cents achieved in 2Q 2008.

On an annualised basis, Starhill Global says the latest distribution represents a yield of 12%.

Frasers Commercial Trust announces DPU of 0.73 cents for 2Q09

Frasers Commercial Trust, a unit of Fraser & Neave, says net property income fell 5.2% for the quarter ended June 30 (2Q2009) compared to the performance of 1Q2009.

This was primarily attributable to the cessation of income support at KeyPoint and the under-performance of Cosmo Plaza, the Osaka property earmarked for divestment.

The increase in distributable income in 2Q09 translated to a stable distribution per unit (DPU) of 0.73 cents, marginally higher than 1Q09 by 1.4%. Unitholders will receive a total 1H09 distribution of 1.44 cents on Aug 28.
