DMX Technologies posts 38% jump in 3Q net profit to $4.8m

DMX Technologies Group, the integrated network infrastructure and digital media solutions provider, saw its net profit jump 38.2% to US$3.7 million ($4.8 million) in the 3 months ended 30 September 2010 (3Q10) from US$2.7 million in 3Q09 with strong sales growth across all its business segments.

Sales surged 59.8% y-o-y to a record US$74.0 million.

DMX rides on strong digital media growth in China

DMX Technologies (DMXT.SI) is riding high on its expansion in China’s digital media market, benefiting from the Chinese government’s move to force cable operators to switch from analogue to digital content by 2015.

The technology firm that offers software solutions to cable TV providers and telecommunications firms, is confident that its revenue will rise by 20% this year, up from US$190.4 million ($251.8 million) last year, said CEO Jismyl Teo in an interview.

DMX Technologies says Madison Williams and Company, the leading full-service investment banking firm, has agreed be the Principal American Liaison (PAL) and sponsor the company for listing on the OTCQX International platform.

Effective today, DMX Technology’s ADRs are available for trading in the United States on OTCQX International under the symbol DMXTY. Each ADR represents 40 ordinary shares listed on the SGX Exchange under the symbol 5CH.

DMX Tech off 2.8%; Liquidity risk for ADRs: Kim Eng

DMX Technologies (5CH.SG) off 2.8% at $0.52, pausing for breather after 52.8% surge over last two sessions fuelled by expectations of increased investor interest as digital media company’s ADRs start trading on OTCQX International from Sept 23, according to Dow Jones.

Stock still trading at hefty 1.38x P/B based on yesterday’s close vs 0.90x P/B before rally started. Despite robust volume in past two sessions, Kim Eng Securities, which has no rating, says DMX still faces risk of low trading liquidity in US: “ADRs have traditionally been thinly traded.”

DMX Technologies +16.5%; Resistance At $0.545

DMX Technologies (5CH.SG) most active stock in Singapore, +16.5% at 11-month high of $0.495, extending Friday’s 21.4% rally, as participants remain hopeful digital media company will be able to generate greater investor following as its ADRs start trading on OTCQX International from Sept 23, according to Dow Jones.

“While quite a number of Singapore companies have lately taken the TDR route, DMX is doing ADRs, which could draw an even larger investor base,” says a local house trader. Each ADR represents 40 DMX shares.

While RSI shows stock overbought, current strong momentum likely to continue, with ADR performance expected to set tone for mother shares in near term. Immediate resistance at 52-week high of $0.545.

DMX Technologies +20.0% ahead of ADRs listing

DMX Technologies (5CH.SG) +20.0% at $0.420 — just below 5-month high of $0.425 — on hopes investors in US will pay more attention to digital media company as it firms up move to list American Depository Receipts, according to Dow Jones.

ADRs will start trading on OTCQX International from Sept 23, with each receipt representing 40 Singapore shares. If ADR take-up positive, shares likely to head even higher.

DMX Technologies Group, the internet network infrastructure and digital media solutions & services provider, says it is ready to trade its American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) on OTCQX International under the symbol “DMXTY”.

Each DMX ADR, which will be quoted in US dollars, represents 40 ordinary shares listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange and will be available for trading on the OTCQX International from 23rd September 2010.

DMX Technologies achieves 82% rise in 2Q net profit to $3.9m

DMX Technologies Group, the integrated network infrastructure and digital media solutions provider, says it posted a 81.6% y-o-y jump in net profit to US$2.9 million ($3.9 million) for the three months ended 30 June 2010 (2Q10).

DMX Technologies says the achievement was built upon strong sales growth across all its business segments, which helped push revenues to an all-time high of US$58.6 million in 2Q10 from US$48.8 million in 2Q09.

DMX Technologies posts 49% rise in net profit to $1.8m

DMX Technologies Group announced its net profit after tax for the three months ended 31 March 2010 rose 48.5% to US$1.3 million ($1.8 million) from US$0.9 million in 1Q09, driven by higher revenue in the group’s seasonally slowest quarter. Concurrently 1Q10 net margin inched up to 2.71% from 2.24% in 1Q09. Revenue increased 22.9% in 1Q10 to US$47.6 million from US$38.7 million in 1Q09.

DMX Technologies wins US$2.5m contract to design, build secured network for Malaysian bank

Digital media services and application solutions provider, DMX Technologies Group says its wholly-owned subsidiary, Packet Systems (Malaysia) has been chosen by a major consumer and business bank in Malaysia to provide a multi-tiered network and security management solution for its six-storey data centre in Putra Jaya.

The US$2.5 million ($3.5 million) contract awarded to Packet Systems is to design, build and deploy a high-performance network infrastructure that creates a responsive and secured environment for deploying existing multi-vendor services and applications over a single network in one of the most demanding business environments.

STI gains 0.2% to 2,685.95 as of 9:59 am

The Straits Times index gained 0.2% to 2,685.95 as of 9:59 a.m. The following shares were among the most active in the market.
DMX Technologies Group (DMX SP), a Singapore-based network and computer-services provider, climbed 5.3% to 50 cents. KDDI Corp., Japan’s second-largest mobile-phone operator, said it will pay 12.4 billion yen ($192 million) for a 53% stake in DMX.
