“Political will creates gas prices”

Srbijagas CEO Dušan Bajatović said that an increase in gas prices would be economically justifiable, but that it depends on the political will of the state. “It is clear that the price of gas must increase, but there does not have to be an increase in prices,” he explained to daily Dnevnik.

WAZ-owned daily didn’t go to press

WAZ-owned Novi Sad daily Dnevnik did not go to press on Saturday, and its internet site has not been working since Friday night. According to sources of the Beta news agency, the reason that Dnevnik, the oldest Serbian-language daily in Vojvodina, did not come out on Saturday is because the workers of the printing factory have not been paid their wages.

Speaker: Statute on agenda in fall

Parliament Speaker Slavica Đukić-Dejanović said that the timing for introducing the Vojvodina statute to the agenda depends exclusively on the government.
