Democratic Party (DS) official Dragoljub Mićunović said that the Serbian delegation’s visit to the Dutch parliament began an important process of dialogue. Mićunović, who led the delegation, told B92 that even though the stances of the two countries continue to differ regarding Belgrade’s level of cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, the dialogue between Serbian and Dutch parliamentary officials is encouraging.

SNS, DS, DSS to form coalition in GraÄanica
The Serb Progressive Party, the Democratic Party, and the Democratic Party of Serbia will form a new local authority for PriÅ¡tina, with its HQ in GraÄanica. The coalition was announced on Friday at a meeting of the city assembly, where Democratic Party candidate Ratko Perenić was elected as assembly speaker.

DS official denies split over Vojvodina statute
The president of the Vojvodina Executive Council has denied that there is a rift within the ruling Democratic Party (DS). Bojan Pajtić, who is also a party official, said it was not true that the DS “branches in Vojvodina and Belgrade” cannot see eye to eye over the draft Vojvodina statute.
DS, SNS lead in latest poll
The ruling Democrats (DS) currently have the support of 35.1 pct of potential voters in Serbia, followed by the opposition Serb Progressives (SNS) with 31 pct. But the latest Strategic Marketing agency survey shows that in Belgrade, the two parties switch places. There, 36 percent of those polled would vote for the SNS, while 27 percent said they supported the Democrats.
Poll: DS 35%; SNS 31%
If parliamentary elections were held tomorrow, the Democratic Party would poll highest with 35% of the vote, according to a Strategic Marketing poll for August. The poll was conducted just before the adoption of the controversial media law on a sample of 1,500 adults.
No early elections, DS official adamant
Ruling Democratic Party (DS) Vice-President Dragan Å utanovac says there is no possibility that Serbia will have early elections, “especially not this year”. “I do not know in whose best interest it would be to have months of campaigning now, and then negotiate to form a government. I am sure that this would not be in the best interest of the citizens,†Šutanovac told Belgrade daily VeÄernje Novosti.
DS to small parties: Stop blackmailing
Democratic Party (DS) official Dragoljub Mićunović said that smaller parties in the government must stop “blackmailing†the rest of the ruling coalition. He said that regardless of whether the Public Information Law will be adopted, the government will not be toppled.
