Kalamazoo’s Greensky
Bluegrass and Chicago’s Cornmeal, are Joining forces for a five-night co-bill tour of the East Coast’s warmest
clubs. The bands will alternate nights of headlining.

Both acoustic units are currently touring off the release of new CDs, Greensky Bluegrass offering a limited-edition,
double live release All Access: Volume 2 and Cornmeal with Live in Chicago. Greensky Bluegrass is
offering a free download of “I’d Probably Kill You” from the double live disc here.

Kid Congo Powers: New Album & East Coast Dates

SPRING RELEASE FOR GORILLA ROSE; TOUR STARTS FEB. 11

The legendary Kid Congo
Powers, co-founder of the Gun Club, guitarist for The Cramps and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, will be
releasing his new album with his group Kid Congo & the Pink Monkey Birds this spring. Titled
Gorilla Rose, the album follows in the footsteps of the band’s 2009 Dracula Boots with
more ram-charged boogaloo, sleazy psychedelia and Chicano garage rock.

In The Red records is gearing up for
the new album by releasing a series of oddball limited edition vinyl-only records by the band. The first of these
releases dropped this week in the form of the “Five Greasy Pieces” subscription series. This is a very limited edition
(250 of each) series of five different singles each containing two brand new tracks. Starting in January In The Red
will be issuing one of these a month. The fifth and final single in the series will come with a handsome box in which
all five will be housed. The only way to obtain these singles is to buy a subscription on the In The Red website. In
March In The Red will be issuing a live LP by the band titled Live At The Prom which will be
another vinyl-only limited edition release available exclusively online.

SGX Joint venture Chi-East completes roll out in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore

Chi-East, the “dark pool” joint venture between Singapore Exchange and Nomura’s (9716.T) Chi-X, said on Monday it has completed the roll-out of its trading platform for securities listed in Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.

All of Chi-East’s initial participants — Instinet, Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE), Morgan Stanley (MS.N), Nomura and UBS (UBSN.VX)— have successfully matched trades on the platform, the firm said in a statement.

Technics wins $23.5m EPCC contract in the Middle East

Mainboard-listed Technics Oil and Gas, one of the leading full service integrators of compression systems and process modules for the global offshore oil and gas sector, today announced that it has been awarded a $23.5 million contract from a Middle East oil & gas company for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of process equipment for early production systems.

With a project duration of eight months, the group will deliver process equipment for early production systems consisting of wellhead manifolds,test separators, three phase separators, gas KO drums, flare KO drums, heater treater, scraper traps, corrugated plate separators, hydrogen sulfide removal module and flare stacks and burners.

Tiger Air, South East Asian Airlines form partnership to operate Clark-Singapore flights

Tiger Airways Holdings and South East Asian Airlines have formed a partnership under which the company known as SEAir will lease aircraft from Tiger Air.

Using an initial fleet of two Airbus aircraft, SEAir will start flights from Clark in the Philippines to Singapore from Dec 16.

Seats will be marketed and distributed through tigerairways.com

Tiger Air says additional routes operated by SEAir using these new jets will be added to the programme over the coming months.

Advanced clinches oil & gas projects in China and the Middle East worth $11m

Advanced Holdings, the global supplier of proprietary process equipment and technologies, clean energy solutions and environmental technologies, says it has successfully clinched new oil & gas contracts for the supply of process analyser packages worth $11 million in China and the Middle East.

In China, the process analyser packages will be supplied to subsidiaries of US-based multinational energy giant Chevron Corporation, Sinopec and Petrochina.

In the Middle East, the supply is for Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company, a joint venture between two world oil majors, Saudi Aramco and Total. All these projects are expected to complete in 2011.

Mirach Energy gains rights to East Kalimantan coal mine

Mirach Energy says it has gained the rights to produce and sell coal in an open-pit coal mine in Samarinda, the capital of the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan.

The contract area covers 100 hectares and is located near to operational haulage road, stockyard and conveyor loading jetty. The mine produces sub-bituminous coal of caloric value 5100- 5300 Kcal/kg. This type of coal, also known as steam coal, is generally used for power generation.
