The opposition SNS party leader says that the government will face protests should it fail to call early elections. If the government chooses to ignore the party’s demands, “including the most important one which refers to calling early elections within two months”, SNS will launch protests until the demands have been met, Tomislav Nikolić stated on Tuesday.

Final results of Kosovo elections
The Kosovo Central Election Commission announced on Sunday evening the final results of the early elections held in Kosovo.
According to this, 34 madates were won by Hashim Thaci’s Democratic Party of Kosovo, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo with 27.
Elections repeat in K. Mitrovica

A delegation of the European Parliament (EP) has issued a statement regarding the Kosovo elections held on December 12 and January 9. Elections repeat in six Kosovo municipalities
Elections will be repeated in six Kosovo municipalities on Sunday since the Central Election Commission observed irregularities in the December elections.

Polls close in Kosovo elections
47.8 percent of voters cast their ballots by the end of voting in the Kosovo elections today, the Kosovo Central Election Commission (CEC) said. CEC’s Valdete Daka said that mobile polling stations were open in northern Kosovo as well, adding that the turnout in these locations was “lower”.

Kosovo Ministry State Secretary Oliver Ivanović says there is a possibility that the elections in Kosovo could deepen divisions within the Serbian community.

Radmila Trajković of the United Serb List has stated that the Serbian government should back Serbs in Kosovo who want to take part in the forthcoming elections. The voting has been scheduled for Dec. 12, and is organized by the Kosovo Albanian authorities.

Call elections or face protests, warns opposition leader
SNS party is requesting urgent meetings with those in power in order to reach an agreement with the opposition regarding early parliamentary elections. The opposition party’s leader, Tomislav Nikolić, told reporters in Belgrade on Monday that Serbia has never been in a worse condition, and warned that poverty and unemployment rates were increasing daily.
