According to a report published on the Financial Times website last weekend, Google has told its employees that security vulnerabilities present in Microsoft’s products have become too much of a liability.

Google has quietly purchased a stealth company founded by former Apple employees called Agnilux, the search engine confirmed for eWEEK April 20. Agnilux allegedly makes a server chip, but no one has been able to confirm this. The New York Times provided a rough sketch of the startup in February as part of a profile on Apple’s A4 chip, the processing engine behind the ballyhooed iPad. Ellison Pledges to Hire 2,000 New Employees

Oracle CEO Larry Ellison says his company will end up hiring about 2,000 new employees at Sun Microsystems and claims that will be about twice as many as the company dismisses to complete the takeover of the server and storage hardware company it paid more than $7.4 billion to acquire.
