According to The Wall Street Journal (as reported by Pollstar), the 14-track album was recorded with the help of William Patterson, former music director for “The Cosby Show” and features MCs Jace the Great, Brother Hahz and Super Nova Slam. While it’s unclear how much Cosby actually raps on the album, he’s behind the socially conscious material.

“What I like is what you’re not going to do. You’re not going to curse. You’re not going to put women down. You’re not going to put the glory of the gun somewhere” said Cosby to Pollstar. “And you’re not going to put a whole lot of violence up front like that’s the thing that will cleanse you and make you feel better.”

“Please listen to the words” he continued. “We worked hard, very hard, to tell you about the state of emergency. Thank you.”

Bill Cosby tour dates available here.
