A diplomat at the Russian embassy in London has been sent home after the Foreign Office requested the withdrawal earlier this month. The Foreign Office said it made the request on 10 December.

The Irish Republic is to expel an Israeli diplomat over the use of fake passports in the killing of a Hamas official in Dubai. Foreign Minister Micheal Martin said an investigation had proved that eight Irish passports used in the operation were forgeries.

Turkey’s Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan threatened the future of thousands of Armenian illegal immigrants currently living in Turkey. Following votes in the U.S. and Sweden branding the killing of Armenians by Ottoman Turks in World War One as genocide, Erdogan has lashed out at the country’s 100,000 illegal Armenian immigrants.
Australia, New Zealand expel Fiji envoys in tit-for-tat move

Australia and New Zealand kicked out Fiji’s top envoys on Wednesday in retaliation for a similar move by the Pacific country’s military regime, abruptly raising regional tensions. The two countries made near-simultaneous announcements a day after Fiji said it would expel their senior
