Serbia, HP explore IT cooperation possibilities

Serbia’s Deputy PM Božidar Đelić met on Tuesday in Belgrade with representatives of Hewlett-Packard (HP).
Đelić – who is also minister for technology and science in the current cabinet – and HP Personal Systems Group in EMEA General Manager Achim Kuttler discussed the possibilities of cooperation regarding scientific and technological development, said reports.

Ramba Energy bids for operation cooperation deal to explore West Jambi Operation Area

Ramba Energy says it has put in a bid for an operation cooperation agreement offered by PT Pertamina EP for the conduct of oil and gas exploration and production activities in the West Jambi Operation Area.

The West Jambi Operation Area is located in the northern part of the South Sumatra Basin. The geologic structure in the West Jambi Block consists of a bundle of Northwest-Southeast trending anticlinal folds known to provide structural traps for oil and gas accumulations.

Singapore-Sichuan Investment Holdings formed to explore development of Sichuan hi-tech park

Singapore-Sichuan Investment Holdings, a Singapore consortium initiated by Temasek Holdings, has signed an MOU with Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone to conduct a feasibility study of the joint development of a Singapore-Sichuan Hi-Tech Innovation Park (HTIP).

The Singapore-Sichuan HTIP project will be situated in the Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone, which is currently ranked fourth out of the 54 national Hi-Tech Zones gazetted in China in terms of competitiveness.

The 35 sqkm development will first begin with an initial start-up area of 10 sqkm. It will focus on integrating modern manufacturing, modern services and modern living into one.

National Stock Exchange of India and SGX to explore listing more India-linked products on SGX

National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and Singapore Exchange (SGX) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in the development of a market for India-linked products.

Under the MOU, both exchanges aim to explore future collaboration in the expansion, development and promotion of India-linked products and services to be listed on SGX.

Chip Shot: Kids Explore Reefs, Rainforests with Intel-powered classmate PCs

Yesterday, in celebration of National Parent’s Day (July 26), Intel hosted its first “Summer Tech Day” at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. Parents and children experienced first-hand the hardware and software features of the Intel® Learning Series as they discovered how the convertible classmate PC, purpose-built for K-12 education, offers a mobile and collaborative learning environment.
