WhiteWater Ramble : Debut Album Members of TLG, HBR, RRE Guest

LONG AWAITED DEBUT ARRIVES AUGUST 30

Whitewater Ramble

High altitude jamgrass champions WhiteWater Ramble have announced the release of their debut album, All Night Drive, produced by the highly regarded musician and producer Tim Carbone from Railroad Earth, and featuring a stellar cast of guest artists including Steve Molitz ( Particle, Phil & Friends), Josh Clark (Tea Leaf Green), Erik Yates (Hot Buttered Rum), Grant Gordy (David Grisman Quintet), and in-demand session saxman Pete Wall on saxophone.

For a band whose sound has always been steeped in psychedelic interpretations of bluegrass music, the choice of partnering up with Tim Carbone was the logical choice to helm the WhiteWater Ramble debut project.

“Tim Carbone was WWR’s captain during the recording of All Night Drive, bold and tireless in getting the right performances from the band. His encouragement and support kept morale high in otherwise stressful situations,” says WhiteWater Ramble fiddler and vocalist Adam Galblum. “His studio expertise ensured that we were getting the best sounds for this record, and we felt comfortable deferring to his artistic judgement. While respecting the already-established parameters of our band, Tim knew what he wanted from us, and was clear in communicating how he wanted it. We appreciated that.”

On the flipside, when asked to recount the highlight of working with the Colorado jam rock quintet on their latest album Carbone said, “WWR have their feet planted in more than one world. More than two if you count such things – sometimes all at the same time! No matter which world you prefer; bluegrass, rock, electronica or the myriad combinations, WWR will take you there on a fantastic ride!”

WhiteWater Ramble will perform select rocky mountain regional headlining dates with special guests in support of their new album.

Upcoming WhiteWater Ramble Shows

08/07/10 Adobe Bar Taos, NM
08/08/10 Larimer County Fairgrounds Loveland, CO
08/13/10 Nomad Theater Boulder, CO

08/17/10 Aggie Theater Fort Collins, CO (feat: Steve Molitz, Tim Carbone, Pete Wall)
08/18/10 Bluebird Theater Denver, CO (feat: Grant Gordy, Steve Molitz, Pete Wall)

While the debut isn’t available nationally until August 30, fans can pick up an advance copy for FREE at one of these three CD release parties:

Aug 13 – The Nomad Theatre – Boulder, CO

Everyone Orchestra CO Shows w/ Kimock & Hollingsworth

COLORADO PERFORMANCES FOR THE EVERYONE ORCHESTRA

BEGIN MAY 20 IN FORT COLLINS W/OPENING ACT ACORN PROJECT

The Everyone Orchestra
embarks on a run of Colorado shows at the end of May including a stop in Fort Collins and three performances in
Denver from May 20 – May 23. This rendition of the project features a stellar lineup of nationally renowned talent
including Steve Kimock
(SKB, Zero), Kyle Hollingsworth (SCI),
Jennifer Hartswick (Trey
Anastasio Band), Dave
Watts
(The Motet), Jamie
Janover
(Zilla), Garrett
Sayers
(The Motet), Jamie
Masefield
(Jazz Mandolin Project) and YOU.

How do you fit into the Everyone Orchestra? The fully improvised performance is the brainchild of founder
Matt Butler, who
incorporates the skill set of the assembled all-star lineup with the voices and sounds of
the audience for a unique and fun musical experience.

Literally an orchestra where everyone in the room takes part, the Everyone Orchestra brings together a
form of musical improvisation that is rarely accomplished to this degree. While the band actually only consists of
one key player – conductor Matt Butler – each show features a rotating cast of up to a dozen players on
any given night. Drawing on the wealth of talent local to the area he visits, or those performing at a festival, the
concept lures local and national players who are often performing for the first time together and the audience of
course, is performing right along.

The four-night traveling event will kick off at Hodi’s Half Note in Fort Collins on May 20 and will continue to
Quixote’s True Blue (formerly Owsleys) on Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22. The Sunday, May 23 performance is
billed as a happy hour show featuring an acoustic set (minus Hollingsworth), and with other special guests yet to be
announced.

The locally based organization, Conscious Alliance, will also be hosting a food drive, benefiting the Pine Ridge
Reservation in South Dakota. All patrons that donate 10 non-perishable food items will receive a free limited-
edition Everyone Orchestra 2010 Colorado Tour poster created by the very special artist, Ryan Kerrigan.
Donations can be made with Conscious Alliance representatives at the front entrance of each venue.

Advance tickets for the Denver performance are on sale now at www.quixotes.com.

Shpongle U.S Tour Dates

SHPONGLE ANNOUNCE U.S. TOUR DATES FOR APRIL/MAY

Shpongle

Having recently released their long-awaited and much anticipated fourth studio album, Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland, the U.K.-based DJ/Producer Simon Posford (who, together with Raja Ram on flute, makes up Shpongle) will tour the United States from coast to coast this April and May, making stops in all four corners of the country along the way.

With the release of this album and subsequent tour, the internationally acclaimed electronica project have returned from what many fans feared was a void after the release of their third album in the summer of 2005. Posford, the producer, multi-instrumentalist and driving force behind Shpongle’s exploratory odyssey and sonic oddity, will delight fans new and old with tonal textures that break boundaries of convention while at the same time harnessing the primal energy of sound. Coupled with the richly evocative flute musings of Ram, the Shpongle experience is one of both worldly and otherworldly roots.

Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland contains languages of harmonic and melodic construction that long-time fans will know and love, while taking massive leaps forward in terms of production techniques, structure and direction. With influences drawn from Steve Reich to Big Brother TV shows and beyond, Shpongle continues to evolve and inspire. All out Shpongle-mania has ensued for this album’s release, clearly demonstrated in October when the London launch party sold out and a second night had to be added.

For portions of this tour, Shpongle will be accompanied by a smorgasbord of artists including fellow Twisted Records alumni, Prometheus (Benji Vaughan, who, together with Posford constitute the group, Younger Brother) and world-renowned digital media artists VJ Zebbler and ArcheDream for Humankind, an international theater company that merges ancient ritual with modern technology to unite, uplift and empower. The experience is sure to enchant audiences with a visceral dance of psychedelic sensory information that can only be described as “…a strange hybrid of electronic manipulation and shamanic midgets with frozen digits squeezing the envelope and crawling through the doors of perceptionÂ…”

Ladysmith Black Mambazo Tour

LADYSMITH BLACK MAMBAZO RETURNS TO U.S. WITH 2010 TOUR

Ladysmith Black Mambazo

Ladysmith Black Mambazo, “South Africa’s long-running musical treasure” (New York Times), returns to the U.S. in 2010, bringing the nine-man a cappella group’s high energy live show to over 40 cities nationwide, including two dates in New York City. The group will perform songs from their 2009 Grammy Award-winning album Ilembe, in addition to selections from their wide catalog.

“There is an honesty and integrity in their music that illuminates the best parts of humanity,” notes the Associated Press. “Using their majestic voices and nothing else,” adds the San Francisco Chronicle, “[Ladysmith Black Mambazo] produces a full orchestra of sound.”

The group marries the intricate rhythms and harmonies of their native South African musical traditions to the sounds and sentiments of Christian gospel music, garnering accolades worldwide and solidifying their identity as a cultural force. As Billboard explains, “Ladysmith is proof that music knows no boundaries.”

Over its forty-year career, Ladysmith Black Mambazo has earned three Grammy awards and received over 15 Grammy nominations, in addition to a Tony Award, and even an Oscar nomination. They’ve performed for kings, queens, presidents and popes. They accompanied Nelson Mandela when he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and also recorded with Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, Melissa Etheridge, Sarah McLachlan, Josh Groban, among many others.
