Russian giant Gazprom and Serbia’s public gas enterprise Srbijagas signed a contract to set up a joint company – South Stream Serbia. Srbijagas General Director DuÅ¡an Bajatović confirmed that this took place on Tuesday in Bern Switzerland.

Srbijagas General Director Dušan Bajatović has signed agreements with the American AG Equipment company and Austrian Integral Montage. The contract with the American company was signed for the delivery of a compressor aggregate for the underground gas storage facility of Banatski Dvor.

Srbijagas General Director DuÅ¡an Bajatović said that Serbia’s gas reserves are “ready” for a possible new gas crisis. “We cannot predict whether there will be a gas crisis or not, we are preparing the storage facility and the serves in the case that there is no gas coming from Ukraine for a period of 60 days,†Bajatović, who heads the state-owned natural gas enterprise, told Belgrade daily VeÄernje Novosti.

Srbijagas General Director DuÅ¡an Bajatović says it was agreed in principle that Gazprom would provide storage of 200 million cu m of gas in Hungary for Serbia. The meeting between representatives of the Russian gas and oil giant, Germany’s EON and Serbia’s state owned natural gas enterprise took place in Vienna, Austria, on Thursday.
PanÄevo fertilizer plant on trial run

Srbijagas General Director DuÅ¡an Bajatović stated Monday that production in PanÄevo-based fertilizer producer HIP Azotara is on a trial run. He explained that production at the factory will be restarted in phases so as to have a completed technological process by the end of the week and the first amounts of ammonia produced.
