Minister: We will not allow divisions

The Serbian government will not allow any disputes and divisions within the Serb community in Kosovo, says Goran Bogdanović. “What was happening in the last several days regarding the so-called Kosovo elections should not divide us, because I am more than sure that we have the same goal – keeping Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia,” the minister in charge of the province said after attending Holy Liturgy at Visoki Dečani Monastery.

“EULEX should protect all Serbs”

Kosovo Minister Goran Bogdanović says that EULEX should focus more attention on the safety of the Serb community in Kosovo. “We are prepared to be constructive to the point where it does not endanger our national interests in Kosovo,” Bogdanović told daily Politika, following the European Commission’s report calling on Serbia to be more constructive in issues related to Kosovo.

Kosovo minister visits Brussels

Kosovo Minister Goran Bogdanović has discussed “the further functioning of the legitimate international presence in Kosovo“ with EU officials in Brussels.
In a statement, the Kosovo Ministry stated that Bogdanović had held meetings with the EU Council’s Director-General for External and Politico-Military Affairs Robert Cooper, EC Director-General for the Western Balkans Pierre Mirel and EULEX Chief Yves De Kermabon.

Minister: EULEX-MUP deal in late September

Kosovo Minister Goran Bogdanović says the agreement between EULEX and the Serbian Interior Ministry should be signed by the end of September. He said that the document would define mechanisms for combating all forms of crime in the province.

Bogdanović: Protocol is inevitable

Belgrade, EULEX seek customs compromise

Kosovo Minister Goran Bogdanović says unilateral decisions on charging customs duty at administrative crossings, “even if taken by EULEX”, are unacceptable. Bogdanović said that discussions and talks would be held on the issue, and that this was the best way to address the current problem.

Thaci: Belgrade considering recognition

Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci says that Belgrade has begun considering recognizing Kosovo’s unilateral independence. Serbian Kosovo Minister Goran Bogdanović called Thaci’s statements a marketing ploy.
