This summer’s lineup for the 2011 Rockstar
Energy Drink Mayhem Festival sees Disturbed, Godsmack, & Megadeth joined by Machine Head, Trivium
and In Flames. The
Jagermeister stage will feature Unearth, Kingdom of Sorrow, Red Fang and the Jagermeister Battle
of The Bands Winner. The Extreme stage will spotlight Suicide Silence, All Shall Perish and Straight
Line Stitch. Check

On July 9 in San Bernardino, CA, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim’s metal cartoon phenomenon Dethklok will perform in
the place of Megadeth, and colossal Bay Area thrash kings Testament will perform in the place of In Flames.
Testament will also perform in the place of In Flames on the July 10 Mountain View, CA date. Megadeth will not be
appearing on the Montreal, QC Heavy MTL date.

In honor of newgrass pioneer John Hartford the John Hartford Memorial Festival will take place June 1-4 2011 at the historic <a target="blank" href="http://www.beanblossom.us/"Bean Blossom Festival Park & Campgrounds in Bean Blossom, IN.

kick off their 2011 US tour on Jan 21 at L’Auberge du Lac Casino in Lake Charles, LA. Dates extend through April
and include a Feb 9 performance at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre, their first show in Manhattan in eight years. PBS has
also tapped the legendary band for a Soulsville concert special to be filmed at The Bushnell in Hartford on
Feb 8. The performance will air on Connecticut Public Broadcasting later this year. See below for the initial dates,

Vans Warped Tour and Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival have announced their 2011 tour
dates. Check them out below. Both festivals are announcing their first-ever holiday gift packages for those who
want in early on the summer 2011 action. The pre-sale begins at 10:00 am in all time zones with limited tickets
available, starting Wednesday, November 24 running through Friday, December 10, while supplies last. These

announced details for a NYE run, beginning on December 29 at the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT, continuing at
the Highline Ballroom in New York, and ending with a 12/31 performance at the BB King Blues Club in New York.
The December 29 show is a venue change from the original show announcement in Worcester, MA. All Palladium tix
will be honored at the Webster Theater.

The band is encouraging fans to send in their 2010 tour pictures and videos. The best entry will win a pair of tickets

Marco Benevento is getting
ready to load the old 1927 upright into Panthro (the van) to play dates all over the States and Canada in the coming
months. For these upcoming shows, Marco returns to Canada after appearing at a number of festivals up across the
border this summer, he hits New England at the peak of Fall foliage, performs in Asheville and Charlotte, NC for the
first time ever with his own band.

He also plays two rare solo piano shows in Asbury Park and Brooklyn, brings
the post
rock for the post Phish phreaks in Atlantic City with friends Billy Martin and Marc Friedman and finishes out the year
on the West Coast, including two of his favorite rooms, The Independent in SF and Doug Fir in Portland. Last but not
least, he’ll be with Surprise Me Mr.
Davis on New Year’s Eve to ring in 2011 at Cafe Du Nord.

Marco Benevento: Fall Tour Dates

KEYBOARD KID HAS A HAND IN IT ALL

Marco Benevento will tour the U.S. and Canada this Fall in support of his latest release, Between The Needles & Nightfall. The run begins with four nights in Canada and five nights in New England. The stretch includes a stop at the Massachusetts Museum Of Contemporary Art where Benevento will reprise his new score to the ’60s cult film House Of Usher that he debuted in August at Celebrate Brooklyn. He’ll also play two rare solo piano shows in Asbury Park and New York City. Benevento rejoins his band in November, heading to North Carolina and Virginia for three shows, including his first headline appearance in Asheville at The Grey Eagle. The tour wraps with five nights on the West Coast, returning to Doug Fir Lounge in Portland for the second time this year, as well as a Saturday night at The Independent in San Francisco.

In what is becoming a Father’s Day tradition (see 6/21/09), the show-opening Brother featured the band
members’ children jumping into a bathtub on stage, followed by Trey introducing each of them and wishing
everyone a Happy Father’s Day. Gotta Jibboo featured Tony Markellis on bass and Mike on a second guitar. The end
of Wilson contained a Dixie tease from Trey. In place of a traditional Makisupa keyword, Trey improvised lines that
set up solos for Mike, then Fish, then Page. The subsequent Piper intro included repeated phrases from the Makisupa
(“Mike,” “Policeman” “SPAC” and “House” among others).

T-Mobile has covered new areas of New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island with its 4G-like HSPA+ technology, which it plans to roll out to 100 metropolitan areas in 2010. The recently introduced myTouch 3G Slide and Garminfone will each be able to enjoy 4G-like speeds. – T-Mobiles HSPA+ network, said to deliver 4G speeds, has expanded to new coverage areas along the East Coast, the carrier announced May 24.

Carly Simon and Queen Latifah are the latest additions to the Lilith Fair 2010 lineup. Simon will appear on three dates (Boston, Hartford and New York), and Latifah will appear on two dates (Detroit and Las Vegas). Additionally, the line-ups for the remaining 10 cities set to go on-sale over the next two weeks are now posted on LilithFair.com. and Marty Diamond comment on the latest artist additions. Says McBride, “Carly Simon embodies the entire spirit of Lilith. She is a generational icon who continues to have a tremendous influence on so many women, whether musicians or fans. I can guess that many of the Lilith 2010 artists were impacted by her voice and words at some point. It’s truly an honor that she has come on board.” Adds Diamond, “Queen Latifah’s spirited performances on the original Lilith Fair are still some of the most memorable. She has had a remarkable career over the past 11 years, from music, to acting to now film production.
