Final results of Kosovo elections

The Kosovo Central Election Commission announced on Sunday evening the final results of the early elections held in Kosovo.
According to this, 34 madates were won by Hashim Thaci’s Democratic Party of Kosovo, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo with 27.

The Kosovo Central Election Commission announced on Monday the preliminary results of the elections in Kosovo.
According to this, Hashim Thaci’s Democratic Party of Kosovo won with 32.4 percent of the votes.

“Thaci could testify at KLA trial”

Marty: I didn’t directly accuse Thaci

Report on human organ trafficking in Kosovo has caused an “absolute shock” in the CoE and the entire international community, said Labor Minister Rasim Ljajić.

Kosovo Albanian PM Hashim Thaci has angered politicians in Switzerland when he compared the Marty report to the Nazi German propaganda of Joseph Goebbels.
According to Switzerland’s Le Matin daily, the comparison is violent and offensive to politicians in Switzerland.

Independent Liberal Party (SLS) leader Slobodan Petrović says his party is willing to form a ruling coalition with Hashim Thaci’s Democratic Party of Kosovo.

“The good experience we had with the ruling parties during the last term will help us make the decision to be part of the Kosovo government once again. What is important and clear for the SLS is our determination to support the political principles based in European values,” Petrović said in an interview with BBCAlbanian.com.

Deputy prosecutor: Thaci threatening witnesses

Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor Bruno Vekarić says the Kosovo Albanian PM was threatening witnesses and calling for their lynching. Hashim Thaci announced over the weekend that he would disclose the names of Albanians who helped the Council of Europe (CoE) Rapporteur Dick Marty prepare his report on human organ trafficking, which accuses Thaci and his KLA.

Thaci to release names of Marty’s helpers

Hashim Thaci has announced that he will publish a list of Albanians who helped Dick Marty write the report which accuses him of organ trafficking in Kosovo.

Thaci said that “many will blush” over the list, the media in Priština have reported.

SNS: Serbia should indict Thaci

The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) has urged the Serbian judiciary to initiate proceedings against Kosovo PM Hashim Thaci, suspected of organ trade in Kosovo.

This should be done despite the fact that Thaci is not within reach of Serbian authorities, the SNS said.

Video incriminates Thaci, Thaci blames Serbia

One of the main pieces of evidence of the Serbian prosecution against Hashim Thaci and his KLA group is a video made in a camp that shows kidnapped Serbs.

The video was made by the members of the ethnic Albanian so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in May of 1998, daily Blic reported.

Serb party says won’t join Thaci

One of the Serb parties that took part in elections organized by the Kosovo Albanian government said they would not join a coalition with Hashim Thaci. Radamila Trajković, who was running in the recent Kosovo elections for the United Serb List (JSL), stated on Thursday that members of the civic initiative will not form a coalition with the outgoing Kosovo Albanian PM, whose party won majority of the vote.
