The Plantronics Savor M1100 Bluetooth headset well styled smartphone accessory that accepts voice commands and respond in speaks to tell the user of headset status. The headset announces calls and provides hands free call handling options. Combined with the Vocalyst voice and text service, the headset provides voice access to Twitter, contacts news, sports and information services. The Savor M1100 weights a slight 9 grams and works with both Apple iPhone and an Android based smartphones. When used with the iPhone, the Savor battery life is also displayed as an icon next to the iPhone battery. This Bluetooth feature is expected in the Android OS in the near future. The Savor M1100 was announced September 27 and is available now for $99. The Savor users three microphones that are governed by Plantronics Audio IQ3 and DSP to overcome ambient noise. In my test calls using using both an Apple iPhone and a Sanyo ZIO Android smartphone on the Sprint network, my callers sounded clearly in the headset. Callers reported that I was easy to understand.
