Bio-Treat Technology wins $99m water treatment contract in Henan

Bio-Treat Technology says it has signed a water supply, wastewater treatment and recycled water contract with the Henan Province San Men Xia Industrial Zone Consultative Committee with a contract value of RMB500 million ($98.7 million).

The investment in the first phase of the project is estimated to be no less than RMB80 million. The funds required for these BOT projects will be financed through internal cash flow and domestic banks borrowing.

Midas (5EN.SG) +0.5% at $0.940 after announcing plan for new production plant in Henan with proposed 30,000 tons aluminium alloy extrusions per year capacity.

News also perhaps benefiting another China-based aluminium play — new listing XinRen (MN5.SG), +2.5% at $0.405, top traded today on SGX, though still well below $0.55 IPO price — as bolsters view that China’s hefty infrastructure investment, robust economic growth will underpin demand for metal.

China XLX Fertiliser (CXLX.SI) said on Monday it plans to build a fourth production plant in Henan, China, which will have a land cost of about 80 million yuan ($15.6 million).

Anwell produces its first tandem junction thin film solar panel

Anwell Technologies, the global supplier of advanced manufacturing equipment and process technologies for the optical disc, OLED and solar industries says it has produced its first tandem junction thin film solar panel at its thin film solar plant in Henan, China.

Tandem junction technologies raise the power of a single junction a-Si thin film solar panel from 105W to more than 145W, allowing tandem junction panels to fetch a higher market selling price than single junction a-Si panels.

Sinopipe wins $20m Build and Transfer contract in Luoyang city

Sinopipe Holdings, the designer and manufacturer of plastic pipes and pipe fittings, announced that, through it’s 99.1% owned subsidiary, Fujian Aton Advanced Materials Science and Technology Co., signed a Build-and-Transfer contract with the municipal government of Mengjin county of Luoyang city in Henan province.

Trump Dragon Distillers posts 2.1% rise in net profit to $7.4m in 2Q

Trump Dragon Distillers Holdings, the producer and seller of baijiu products in Henan Province, China, says the group registered a 2.1% y-o-y rise in net profit attributable to equity holders of RMB35.6 million in the three months ended December 31, 2009 (2QFY2010).

But group revenue decreased 9.5% to RMB210.3 million from RMB232.3 million in the previous corresponding period. This was due mainly to the decrease in overall average selling price (ASP) from RMB37.6 per kilogram in 2QFY2009 to RMB31.6 per kilogram in 2QFY2010, although sales volume had increased from 6,178 tonnes to 6,655 tonnes in the respective periods.

China Environment wins 3 contracts totalling $17m

China Environment says wholly-owned subsidiary, Fujian Dongyuan Environmental Protection Co., has secured three contracts amounting to RMB 82.9 million ($16.9 million).

Fujian Dongyuan has secured two contracts with power plants in Hebei and Henan to design, construct and install Electrostatic Precipitators or ESP. The projects are expected to be completed by first half of 2010.

China XLX Fertiliser to start trading tomorrow on Hong Kong Stock Exchange

China XLX Fertiliser (1866.HK; CXLX.SG) says its shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx) will start trading tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. local time in board lots of 1,000 each. The closing price China XLX Fertiliser on the SGX was 51 cents (HK$2.836) last Friday.

China XLX is one of the leading coal-based urea and compound fertiliser producers in China. Its production capacity of urea was about 1.25 million tonnes per annum as of Sept 30. The company was the largest in Henan Province and the 4th largest among all other coal-based urea producers in China. The production capacities of other main products of the company are 600,000 tonnes for compound fertilisers and 200,000 tonnes for methanol per annum.

Trump Dragon Distillers acquires $125m worth of equity stakes in other famous baijiu brands

Trump Dragon Distillers Holdings, the producer and seller of baijiu products under its Siwu brand name in Henan province, China, says it plans to acquire 100% equity interest in Ruyang Dukang Distillers, 100% equity interest in Ruyang Siji Trading Company, 100% equity interest in Henan Dukang Distillers Company and 49% equity interest in Yichuan Dukang Distillers Asset Management for a total of up to RMB607 million ($125 million).

Asia Tiger Group acquires 30% stake in biomass waste-to-gas JV project

Asia Tiger Group says unit Techtiger has entered into a conditional joint venture agreement to acquire a 30% interest in a biomass waste-to-energy project which converts agricultural wastes such as corn stalks into methane and fertiliser for RMB10.13 million ($2.1 million).

The balance 70% interest of the joint venture company located in Yichuan County, Henan province, China, will be taken up by Henan Qixinyuan Energy Technology Development, a Chinese company involved in developing clean energy and waste management businesses.
