Senator Urges FTC to Scrutinize Google AdMob Bid

Google’s $750 million bid for mobile ad provider AdMob faces pressure from Sen. Herb Kohl, chairman for the subcommittee on antitrust, competition policy and consumer rights. Kohl has urged the Federal Trade Commission to scrutinize the deal for competition issues. The Wall Street Journal says the FTC has built a litigation team in case the agency chooses to block the deal, and has briefed Congress on the merger.
