China Hu An Cable says IPO 0.62 times oversubscribed

China Hu An Cable Holdings, one of the leading integrated wire and cable manufacturers in China, says its IPO has attracted strong investor response.

At the close of the IPO at 12 noon on Feb 4, a total of 1,681 valid applications for 113,381,000 shares were received for the public offer tranche of 5,000,000 shares.

Qian Hu Corporation rated buy

NRA Capital in a Jan 12 research report says: “4Q09 net profit of $1.8 million was in line with 29% ahead of street consensus estimate. Sales inched up 4.4% y-o-y to $23.9 million as all business segments turned in positive growth. Net gearing improved y-o-y from 7% to 4% at end-December 2009.

Qian Hu posts 3.6% in 4Q net to $1.8m, bringing full-year FY09 net to $6.5m

Qian Hu Corporation, the ornamental fish breeder and service provider, says net profit attributable to shareholders for 4Q09 ending Dec 31, 2009, rose 3.6% y-o-y to $1.8 million, bringing net profit for the full-year ending Dec 31, 2009 to $6.5 million.

Group revenue increased 4.4% to $23.9 million for the quarter and 1.7% to $94.6 million for the year, contributed by overall improvement in sales of its core ornamental fish, which grew by 2.8% to $47 million, and accessories which increased by 3.9% to $37 million. Sales from its plastics businesses declined 9.7% to $10.6 million due to lower selling prices as a result of lower raw material prices.

Jan 12: Olam, Qian Hu Corp., Thomson Medical

US industrial shares lifted the Dow and S&P 500 yesterday to new 15-month highs after China bolstered expectations the world economy would strengthen, but the Nasdaq fell on profit-taking.
