Besides a much-anticipated new album, Seth Olinsky, the divine guitar center of Akron/Family, has a
cool new audio recording and performance pedal/interface device for the iPhone and iPad
called the BreakOut. The hardware allows you to plug in a professional grade
microphone, keyboard or guitar through your iPad or iPhone and send it out analog to an
amp, di, or computer. The BreakOut is the same size as the iPhone and is housed in a
rugged die-cast aluminum case and made with hifi components, a true bypass and level
controls.

Apple iPad Commercial Hints at User Interface, Features
Apple aired the first 30-second television commercial for its iPad tablet PC March 7, with the spot highlighting the devices functions as an e-reader and portable media player. Apple also posted on its Web site that some 150,000 mobile apps will be available upon the iPads April 3 launch, an uptick from the 140,000 predicted during the Jan. 27 unveiling. Although analytics firms have seen what they say is an uptick in developers creating apps for the iPad, some program creators have voiced concerns about a lack of physical devices on which to test their offerings before release.
