The Interpol office in Podgorica extradited Montenegrin citizen Bogdan Marković to Serbia on Monday. Marković is a native of the northern Montenegrin town of Pljevlja, against whom criminal proceedings have been instituted for criminal association and smuggling.

Serbia wants Interpol help with Hague fugitives

Interpol: New Bassist Dave Pajo

It’s been a rough couple of months for Interpol. First, bassist and founding member Carlos D left the
band following
completion of their long awaited new album. Then the band was forced to cancel a number
of dates on their
upcoming tour opening for U2 after Bono sustained a back injury (read about it here).
Fortunately, Interpol have announced a replacement for Carlos D.

Pajo has a vast body of work. He was the guitarist for Slint. He has recorded as Papa M
and Ariel M. And he has
worked with Tortoise, Will Oldham, Zwan, and numerous other artists. So, you know….do
the math.”

Arrests made on Interpol warrants
Serbian police (MUP) have arrested three persons who have Interpol warrants out for their arrests, the Interior Ministry stated. According to the ministry statement, Interpol’s Sarajevo office issued a warrant for the arrest Veso KornjaÄa, who is accused of murder and extortion.
Red notice over war-time deportation
Montenegro has issued a red international Interpol notice for the arrest of five people, including the former head of the state security agency, DB. They are wanted on suspicion that they deported 79 refugees – Bosnian Muslims and Serbs – back to the war-torn country in May 1992.
Serbian police arrest four foreign fugitives
Serbian police have arrested four foreign citizens with Interpol warrants out for their arrest, while Macedonian police have arrested one Serbian national. Belgrade police arrested Croatian Ranko Å ljubura (62) on the basis of an Interpol warrant issued by Zagreb regarding the serving of a war crimes sentences, police stated yesterday.
