Spice i2i (M09.SG) tumbles 21.7% to $0.090 on resuming trade after it announces a $151 million one-for-one rights issue at an issue price of $0.055 per share; it also announces its second acquisition in as many months, with the purchase of Indonesia’s Affinity Group, the owner and manager of Selular Group, for US$175 million ($224.3 million).

Malaysia Smelting says Singapore IPO priced at $1.75 apiece

Malaysia Smelting Corp., a tin producer, said the issue price of the initial public offering for its secondary listing in Singapore has been set at $1.75 a share, according to a company statement today.

The public issue will consist of 1 million shares to the public in Singapore and a placement of 24 million shares to investors, including institutional buyers, it said.

Ministry for Kosovo State Secretary Oliver Ivanović has warned that the government in Priština was abusing the license plates issue to create a crisis. The Kosovo Albanian authorities have moved to prevent Kosovo Serbs from driving vehicles with license plates for their towns issued by the MUP.

Pioneering jam band Moonalice is finally getting around to shipping its first studio recordings in two years.
Beginning on January 19, Moonalice will ship an EP a month for at least six months.

The series, entitled “Dave’s Way #1 – #6,” will consist of EPs with five songs each, priced at $5.00, plush shipping.
The albums will include the core of the Moonalice live set, as recorded in a studio with ace engineer and producer
Dave Way. Fans who purchase the entire set from the band will receive a special box to store it in.
The CDs will be available from the band at here, as
well as on the web on iTunes, Amazon.com, and other digital download sites.

Noble off 0.5%; Brazil mill price key issue: Analyst

Noble Group (N21.SG) is down 0.5% at $2.06 vs the STI’s 0.3% rise in a muted reaction to a Brazilian media report that Noble will acquire 2 mills belonging to ethanol producer Grupo Cerradinho for BRL1.6 billion (around US$1.2 billion).

The report says Noble will pay BRL600 million in cash and assume BRL1 billion of debt. “Sugar is a very good place to be from a long term perspective,” says an analyst.

“Kosovo should not be condition for EU”

The Kosovo issue should not be imposed as a precondition for Serbia’s membership in the European Union, says Slovak Interior Minister Daniel LipÅ¡ic.
Lipšic met in Belgrade on Thursday with his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dačić. The ministers signed an agreement on readmission between the two countries.
