CSC Holdings posts 38% fall in 1Q net profit to $4.1m

CSC Holdings, the homegrown foundation and geotechnical engineering specialist, says it posted a 4.5% fall in revenue to $77.7 million for the three months ended 30 June 2010 (1Q11), compared to $81.4 million for the three months ended 30 June 2009 (1Q10).

Net profit fell 37.9% to $4.1 million from $6.7 million.

As at 30 June 2010, total shareholder’s equity stood at $194.1 million, a 2.3% increase over $189.8 million as at 31 March 2010. Net asset value per share was 15.9 cents at end-June, up from 15.5 cents three months earlier.

Singapore June bank lending up 1.4% from May

Total bank lending in Singapore rose 1.4%to $296.63 billion in June from $292.49 billion in May, central bank data showed on Friday.

Housing loans to consumers rose 2.6% to $101.13 billion from $98.55 billion in May.

Lippo-Mapletree Indonesia Retail Trust achieves distributable income of $11.2m for 2Q

Lippo-Mapletree Indonesia Retail (LMIR) Trust has announced a distributable income of $11.2 million for the three months ended June 30, 2010 (2Q 2010), equating to DPU for 2Q 2010 of 1.04 cents and an annualised yield of 9.4% based on the closing price on June 30, 2010.

Total gross revenue of $40.1 million for 2Q 2010 was 91.7% higher compared to 2Q 2009, mainly as a result of additional contributions from service charges receipt and utilities cost recovery since January.

Singapore visitor arrivals up 26.7% in June

Singapore visitor arrivals rose 26.7% in June from a year ago to 950,000, the best figure since December’s record number, as the city-state’s two new casinos attracted more tourists from the region. 

This was the seventh consecutive month of record visitor arrivals in the island state. A total of 946,000 visitors arrived in May and 939,000 in April, said the Singapore Tourism Board.

Singapore’s factory output rises at slowest pace in four months

Singapore’s industrial production rose at the slowest pace in four months in June as pharmaceutical and electronic manufacturers made fewer goods, suggesting demand may ease as the global recovery cools.

Output at factories, which accounts for about a quarter of the economy, climbed 26.1% in June from a year earlier, after a revised 58.4% surge in May, the Economic Development Board said in a statement today. The median estimate of 10 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News was for a 38.4% gain.
