Galactic Announce Winter Dates

Galactic is loading up on
special guests to join the band as they barrel through the country on a wild and rocking Winter Tour 2010. Galactic
will spread the New Orleans flavor, throwing down the Mardi Gras spirit starting in Asheville on February 9 before
hitting Nashville on the 10th and ATL on February 12.

Lead singer Corey Glover (of Living
Colour
) will join the band on the road for the first time, bringing his amazing vocals and energy for the first
starting with Jamcruise and including Chicago on February 18. Cyril Neville (of the Neville Brothers) will join for select dates
and Corey Henry (of Rebirth Brass
Band
) will be on board throughout bringing his real deal NOLA brass trombone sound to the party.

Corey Glover and Cyril will both join along with the High and Mighty Brass Band plus a VERY special surprise guest
for the NYC Terminal 5 Mardi Gras north celebration on February 26. Orgone and The Bridge will support some

Steel Train Joins “Yo Gabba Gabba Live!” Tour

is excited to announce that they will share the stage with the cast of beloved kid’s show Yo
Gabba Gabba!
on the “Yo Gabba Gabba Live!” tour. Among the other “Super Music Friends” guests on the tour
are Mates of State, Amanda Palmer, Kid Koala, OK Go and many others.

The band has a busy autumn of touring ahead of them. After the Yo Gabba Gabba Live! dates and a handful of one-
offs, Steel Train will bring their celebrated live show to audiences across the country when hit the road with fun. for an ambitious North American
tour kicking off September 29. Full tour dates below.

Listeners in the New York area can tune in to WRXP on Thursday, August 26 to hear Steel Train perform live on air on
Matt Pinfield’s morning rock show. The band will perform an intimate set at the Bowery Electric that night, as special

announced plans for a fall tour, set to begin September 8 in Myrtle Beach. The tour will take him through
Tallahassee, Shreveport, Austin, New Orleans, Dallas, and other cities before ending on October 13 in Pittsburgh at
the Byham Theatre. Citizen Cope is currently on tour opening for O.A.R. through August 15.

Coheed and Cambria Announces First U.S. Headlining Tour in Over 2 Years

Coheed and Cambria

Coheed and Cambria will embark on its first North American headline tour since fall 2007 beginning April 22, nine days following the April 13 release of its fifth studio album, Year of the Black Rainbow (Columbia).

Support for the upcoming tour will be Circa Survive and Torche.

Produced by Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails, Jane’s Addiction) and Joe Baressi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool), Year of the Black Rainbow is the eagerly awaited prequel to – and likely the final installment of – The Amory Wars tetralogy chronicled on Coheed and Cambria’s four previous inter-related concept albums.

The deluxe edition of the record will include a 352-page Year of the Black Rainbow novel, penned by the band’s Claudio Sanchez and New York Times Bestselling author Peter David, as well as a “Making of” DVD featuring studio and interview footage and a Coheed and Cambria “Black Card,” providing fans early entrance to shows, discounts on band merchandise and exclusive downloads and offers.

Winter Tour With Jack’s Mannequin Kicks Off

The 2010 touring season is officially in effect for fun. Almost two weeks into their month long winter tour with Jack’s Mannequin, the rock/pop trio is excited to announce Spring tour dates with both Motion City Soundtrack (April 6 – April 25) and Paramore (w/ Reliant K April 26 – May 16), including a stop at Bamboozle on May 2 in New Jersey.

Additionally, the band will make their way overseas to play their first ever show in London at The Social on March 23.

To celebrate the kick-off of their 2010 tour season, fun. has just released the single, “At Least I’m Not as Sad (As I Used To Be),” as a 7″ vinyl that also includes a clear CD.

fun. recently won the Independent Music Award (IMA) for the Pop/Rock Song Category for hit track “All The Pretty Girls” off their 2009 debut Aim and Ignite. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges made up of industry professionals including Tom Waits, The Black Keys, Mark Hoppus, Aimee Mann, Suzanne Vega and Zooey Deschanel.

Disney IBM Show the Fun in Smarter Technology

IBM has opened its new Smarter Planet experiential exhibit at INNOVENTIONS at Epcot in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The exhibit is powered by a Smarter Data Center, providing a real-life demonstration of optimized computing that reduces energy costs by up to 25 percent. The exhibit’s version of IBM’s Scalable Modular Data Center has been implemented by hundreds of IBM clients around the world. Visitors at IBM’s new Smarter Planet exhibit at INNOVENTIONS at Epcot play Runtime, a dynamic and customized video game experience developed by Walt Disney Imagineering. The unique game transforms guests into their own personalized avatars, who run, jump and dance through a timeline of IBM’s achievements in the history of computing. Guests can also email themselves the game, extending the Runtime experience.

I and Love and You was recorded in Malibu, California and produced by multi-Grammy Award winning producer, Rick Rubin.
