NOW, THAT’S A FULL SOUND!
“It’s Hard To Be Humble (When You’re From Alabama)” is easily one of the song titles of the year, and the bouncing tune off Here’s To Taking It Easy pretty much backs up the bravado. The band made their Late Show With David Letterman debut last week, where they performed the song.

5 ALBUMS IN 5 NIGHTS AT TERMINAL 5

taking over New York the next two weeks with multiple late night TV appearances leading up to their five-night
stand at Terminal 5. Tonight, guitarist Carl Broemel will be sitting in with The Roots on Late Night With Jimmy

sweepstakes for a chance to attend that taping. Tomorrow night, the quintet will perform on the Late Show With
David Letterman and as an added bonus will do a set for Live on Letterman. Starting at 8pm EST, the
guys will kick off an hour-long performance that fans can watch live over at the webcast’s official site.
Beginning next week on Monday, October 18, MMJ will kick off their feverishly anticipated run of five shows at
Terminal 5. Each night they will play one of their five beloved full-lengths from beginning to end. This is the first
time the ever-evolving band’s entire, eclectic catalogue can be experienced live in the span of a week. The guys will
also be playing in Louisville, KY on 10/29 and are proud to have The Louisville Youth Orchestra on hand to both
open and collaborate with the band.

SHE’S JUST THE GIRL, JUST THE GIRL, THE GIRL YOU WANT!
DEVO is back with their
first album of original material in twenty years. Something for
Everybody (released June 15 on Warner Brothers). To celebrate the release, the group held a cat listening party this past Tuesday. The chosen cats listened to the album on loop for nine straight hours. Click here to see what happened.
The group hired international advertising agency Mother, in order to achieve the maximum amount of marketability and mass appeal. The agency held focus groups on album cover art and song selection in various locations throughout the country. All twelve tracks and cover art (with new blue domes in place of the trademark red energy domes) are focus group approved!
Vocalist Mark Mothersbaugh says, “We were doing it both for real and also kind of a little bit as a joke, poking fun at pop culture.”
DEVO performed on the Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday, June 15, The Colbert Report on
Wednesday, June 16, and will appear on Regis and Kelly on Friday, June 18.

SAUCIEST OLD SCHOOL SOUL REVUE CHARMS AGAIN
It’s hard to get over HOW much better the soul music being offered by Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings is than the vast majority of contemporary soul out there. The popular “Live on Letterman” music series returns with Brooklyn’s own MGMT, who will perform a “Live on Letterman” webcast concert from the Ed Sullivan Theater Tuesday, May 11, following the taping of the band’s performance on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN. During the concert, MGMT will be performing
songs from their recently released sophomore effort, Congratulations, and songs from their debut
album, Oracular Spectacular.
This CBS Interactive Music Group event will be promoted across and broadcast on several CBS assets, as the concert
will be streamed on the LATE SHOW website at CBS.com (www.cbs.com/late_night/late_show) that evening at approximately 8:00 p.m., ET/5:00 p.m., PT, with extensive coverage on-air and online provided by several CBS radio stations in major markets
across the country. Additionally, access to live and on-demand video of the concert will be available on CBS
properties including Last.fm, mp3.com, TV.com, etonline.com and theinsider.com, as well as the CBS Television
Station websites.
MGMT’s exclusive performance is the seventh time the Late Show has used the historic Ed Sullivan Theater as a
concert venue – Pearl Jam performed
a live webcast concert for the Late Show and CBS.com in 2006, Elvis Costello and the Imposters took
part in 2007 and Paul McCartney
performed from atop the Ed Sullivan Theater marquee last year. In the past year, Tim McGraw, John Mayer and Mary J. Blige have all been featured on “Live on Letterman.”
Additionally, MGMT’s Late Show appearance will be broadcast that same night, Tuesday, May 11 (11:35 p.m.-12:37 a.m., ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

SILVERSUN PICKUPS CONFIRM FIRST LEG OF HEADLINE TOUR

Dangerbird Records has announced a newly confirmed Silversun Pickups headlining tour. The Grammy-nominated, Los Angeles-based quartet, fresh off a hugely successful arena tour supporting Muse, will head out with Against Me! and Henry Clay People opening. This first leg of dates starts in Orlando, FL, on June 15 and ends in Milwaukee, WI, on July 4. More dates will be added soon.

Silversun Pickups are touring in support of their critically acclaimed second album, Swoon, which has so far yielded the #1 Modern Rock smash, “Panic Switch.” During this cycle, the band has appeared on Late Show with
